could it be a sign of labour?

our tft is a big-time daddy's boy and gets jealous of him pretty easily. he is realitively dominant, but never aggresive - he tries to bully you at first but he never gets physical. he never bites, but he growls at dogs he is unaccustomed to. We have introduced him to some dogs at which at first he growls, but after a while he doesn't mind them. The chihuahua wasn't abused and is very affectionate i'm told. do you think this would be a good match? Do you think if i introduce the two dogs in the right way that they would get along? Any advice would be great!
In case you don't know what a Toy Fox Terrier is it's like a slightly larger chihuahua. he's about 13 lbs (he's on a diet though, he's supposed to weigh 10 lbs) and the chihuahua is 7 or 8 lbs. Thanks!!!

We just lost our female Siberian Husky, who tolerated our chihuaha but still did not get along with her either. Neiko our male SH, is now very protective of his toys, food, etc., so when Naunee (C) goes outside, she barks at him and they don't play, they just kind of avoid each other. How can I get them to get along???

I adopted a Shiba Inu puppy earlier this month from a shelter and after bringing her home I noticed that she had Kennel cough symptoms, so I brought her to the vet and she tested positive. So of course they prescribed her the usual Clamivox and Baytril. Then about two weeks later I noticed that she bagan limping and that her front paw (which she was limping on) was red and became discolored, so again I brought her to the vet. They took cultures and said that she tested positive for fungus and they prescribed a topical and oral medication. Meanwhile she still has the "kennel cough", she seemed to react well to the antibiotics...at first. Now, for the past several days, I noticed her kennel cough symptoms getting worse...seriously worse. And I also noticed that she's been having mucus drip from her nose and from her eyes along with nasal secretions. Could this just be a REALLY bad kennel cough or canine distemper disease?

My 5 year old toy poodle has begun to act out very badly. He is not neuterd All his life he has been a good if demanding dog. My wife recently gave birth to our first child and the dog has started acting very badly. He growls and gets extrememly upset over nothing. Although he has not actually bitten my wife or I he gets into a state where he seems like he is about to. I read about the fact that perhaps he has dominant agressive behavior disorder and that it can be something very difficult to overcome. Does anyone have a suggestion or experience with this?

Thanks for your help.

My 2 y/o golden started peeing on herself when she's sleeping and today she squatted in the house intentionally. We just got a new golden puppy but lavish attention on both all the time. Should we ignore it and keep lavishing attention on both? Also, when we crate the puppy at night and she cries, my 2 y/o shakes all over until the puppy settles down. Any help is appreciated.

Were standard poodles originally bred for hearding or hunting or something like that? Or have they always been bred for pets alone?

My mini dachshund is in labor and i'm home alone. She's had one puppy so far that got stuck and had to be pulled out and helped along, but the baby girl is doing fine. If the puppy is born not breathing, how hard should I shake it? Meaning, when you wrap it up and shake it down to get the fluid out, how do I know if it's a lost cause?

My dog woke up this morning unable to walk or put any weight on his front left paw whatsoever. I took him for a walk yesterday and he came home fine, so I'm doubtful that it's fractured. However, he seems very much in pain and is currently resting. I gave him 2 bayer aspirin, but I don't know if that was too much, and if I should give him more and when. He is a yellow labrador, about 7 years old, and about 50 pounds.

I need to know, in East Texas, about how much it would cost to take all 7 (yes 7!) pups to the vet?

I recently lost another pup and I'm afraid for the rest. What do I do?! I don't currently have a job and am barely able to feed them right now. But, I'm putting in applications all over town.

I have a Chihuahua who is now 4 years old.

We are wanting to adopt another Chihuahua and need to make sure she likes them.

We know we should go for a boy because she definitely prefers boys but some dogs she instantly loves and others she doesn't!!!

How do we know which one she will like so we can start looking into rescues?
