Something in her background makes her have trust issues with males. At 8 months old, it may be possible to correct this. Socialize her with more males. Start out with male children, because she will think they are a lot less threatening than a full-grown man. Have the male try to leave her treats, and stay close by her to reassure her that you are there and this person is not a threat to either of you. This could also backfire in that she is barking and growling because she thinks the other person is a threat to YOU, a member of her pack, so see how she reacts if you are not around her. Just take it slow. Good luck!

Some dogs just don't like men, because men tend to have deeper voices and are usually taller than women. This, to a dog, is frightening. Keep bringing your father around and she will eventually break the habit. My female american eskimo had the same problem. She now loves anybody who walks through the door.

i have were given 2 men and a lady. My men are 7 and four, the female is a million and he or she truthfully runs the roost. My 7 year previous is my toddler, we were given him for my husband and that lasted till we were given contained in the vehicle. he's been mine ever considering. The 4 year previous loves my oldest son, follows him everywhere. Our lady, she is all my husbands, might want to have something to do with me and the youngsters happening holiday 2 weeks when we were given her, yet i imagine she merely likes his voice. All of ours have realized straight away, the oldest we despatched to school, sounds like all different 2 merely suggested his lead. Be prepared, they're a very needy breed!!!! when they understand who they belong to it truly is it, stuck like glue. If I even get the suitcases out to bypass on holiday now my previous canines starts shaking uncontrollably and follows me everywhere. If all of us bypass it takes the canines about 24 to 36 hours to devour. fortuitously we've a neighbor that still has a boxer that comes over to stay with the canines. Tonka, the former canines, likes his human beings. Dozer, the middle canines, we idea he change into fairly self sufficient till we were given... Harley, the female, she does what she needs (very well behaved) yet when she needs to play and the others do not, pay attention. She consistently receives her way. i have pulled 6 others out of kill shelters and characteristic loved one and all of them. To me they're the perfect achievable breed, slobber and all!!! strong success and practice to be loved

she was probably abused or scared by a man before, and now associates men with pain. My best guess is it is something like what an abused dog goes through. They stay away from people because they associate humans with pain. You can take her to a behavouralist.

Some pets prefer one sex over another (which is usually the case) or maybe a man hurt her somehow.
