Well I have had a few labs in my life they live for an average of about 14 years. I'd say labs are gonna give you a good 12-16 years in good health. You should have a couple more good years. great dogs!!

It honestly depends on the dog, like people. The average lifespan is 12-13 years, but my mom was a Yellow Labrador Retriver dog breeder for years. The dogs lived in the house during the day and in a kennel at night, unless it was too cold out. They were regularly exercised and current on vet care. For her, the average was 10 years. She had them euphanized when life became too miserable for them. I am sure they could have lived longer, but it would have been living at the vet and sleeping all day.
I had a Lab that I had to have euphanized at 6, because he had seizures all the time and didn't pull out of one. My mom has a Lab right now that is 11 and healthy. Some live FAR longer than that, so don't consider your dog dead yet... You'll have to ask yours what ITS life span is! May he live happily and healthy five more years at least!
They are such incredible dogs.

Average about 15 years, but depends on lifestyle, diet etc. Some live over 20 years and are still in good health. Regular check ups and vitamins will keep the dog healthier in its golden years.

Now days with all the meds and vets out there, its just like humans. They can keep you alive as long as you can pay. Animals are living longer because they are getting better care these days. I Hope 3 labs. and I hope they live to be 30.

With the evolution of better foods and care for your pets there is no reason your Lab, if looked after properly, will live until it's 17yrs.

I had 2 of them and they didn't live to 12, 10, and 11 because their legs were gone and I didn't have the money to have them operated on...So it depends, yours is older for sure...Broke my heart in a million pieces to have them put down...hope yours lasts forever!!!
