If your mom won't let you keep both of the dogs, maybe find someone who will provide the same kind of love and attention you give them. Try an older neighbor lady who might be very lonely and a pet would brighten her day. That way you could help her take care of the pet and you would be helping someone and be able to see your other pet daily. Life would be much sweeter for the neighbor and you. Good Luck. Ellie

If you are in Canada, you probably won't be able to find free spay clinic, I image the reason for having to get rid of dogs has to do with municipal bylaws that state only a certain number of dogs are allowed on the property, and your mom is now forced to make some hard decisions and trying to be fair to all members of the family, with choosing which animals to keep. :( Giving one to a friend may seem like a good idea for you but you may have to ask is it going to be fair to your dog , is it going to make it harder for her seeing you and not understanding why she cannot go home with you, therefore making the adjustment to a new home even harder for her. It might be better to find a Poodle rescue to take her, who has experience with the breed and has experience finding good qualified suitable home where she would be a treasured member of a family, if she has not been spayed or her vaccines are lapsing they would make sure all vetting is done prior to her going to her new home

try to find a poodle rescue group, and they will take good care of the girl(s). If the two are close to each other, ask the rescue if you think they could stay together... otherwise there is really no easy decision to pick one! I would try to be logical (hard) and give away the one who gets along best with other dogs. That will increase her chances of being adopted quickly. Good luck!

Please Please don't just get rid of them Find them good new homes or call a poodle rescue.
How did your family end up with so many dogs to begin with.?We all must be responsible pet owners and that means spaying and neutering, not adding to the already overwhelming pet population. Between four and five million dogs are euthanized every year. Not because they are bad dogs. Only because someone didn't exercise proper pet ownership. It is such a needless tragedy.

People get attached to pets. Too bad your Mom does not understand or respect how you feel. Ask her if she would choose between keeping two children? Yes I know it is no comparison between humans and dogs, BUT your feelings of attachment are similar. Sometimes people who have many animals see them as just livestock, not pets. Reminds me of a story my Mom told me. On her 18th birthday she received a typewriter she really wanted. She was happy til she found out her Dad had sold her favorite (old) horse to the glue factory to pay for it. She would have done without the typewriter if she knew. Even if the end of the horse's life was inevitable soon, she deserved to be told instead of shocked and allowed to grieve. Some parents just don't know the damage they do emotionally.

Tough situation since you live at home and you need to do what your Mom wants. Try to find a friend that would take in the one you have to let go. That way you can still visit/play with her and make sure she's taken care of. Also, if they are not spayed, ask your mom if you get them spayed can you keep both of them? Lots of free spay clinics around,

that's a tough position to be in and i'm not sure anyone on here can honestly give you the perfect answer. depending on your age i suppose you could always move to your own place so you could keep both your dogs. i don't know how to answer which dog you should keep... that is tough, and i wish you the best of luck with your situation.

do what you can to keep your 2 dogs...next best thing is to find someone that you can trust to care for them until you can have them both back or something like that...talk to your family for solutions....and if its a must to give them up then at least find a home that you can trust them to be taken care of and maybe they will let you visit them often!!!
good luck!!!
