She trains dogs and boasts her earnings and has taken exams for this. BUT her own dog she leaves locked up all day in the house without attention. Also some years ago she had a small dog in a flat which she never cared for, in fact my son had to take the dog away from her and took it to an animal rescue centre where sadly it had to be put down. She's no dog lover. We have 2 dogs of our own so we know what we are talking about. She just cons people out of money in a cruel uncaring way.

One of us has pinned her down by laying on her, while another cuts one or two nails; we have tried treats to no avail. No one has ever hurt her while cutting her nails and she used to be okay with cutting nails til about 4 years ago when suddenly, for no reason we can discern, she decided to wiggle (and she is strong), howl and scream like we are killing her, and sometimes turn to bite us as we try to cut a nail. It's completely horrible and we are fresh out of ideas to make this a less painful process for all of us.

I have a 14 week old american eskimo and we're not sure what to do about grooming, we try and brush her every couple of days so she gets used to it but we heard mixed things about giving them baths. Some people say once a month other people say the less is better because it dries them out. We would also like to know about trimming their hair, we aren't looking to show them but we want to keep them clean any tips? thanks!

He came up the stairs and have it all over his face, we brushed it out of his teeth and I called the vet right away. He informed me that he will have the runs and stuff. It has been a couple days and he is kinda getting better, (we have put the litter up so he can't get it). Is there anything I can do to help settle his stomach? He is a 4.5 month old black lab?

I have a 6 month old boxer/mastiff mix who stays indoors with me most of the time right now. I walk him for 3 miles a day (usually one walk but sometimes two trips of 1.5 miles each), and at night he usually needs to go out and play for 20mins-1hour (we usually play fetch or a football type game).

How much activity does he need at this age and how much will he need as he grows? I bought an invisible fence and am going to install it this weekend and work on training him to stay in the backyard...I'm unsure about how large of a space I want to give him (theres about a half acre of space available but I want him to have a portion of it to himself where he can run around and play in the grass without messing up the garden or anything). What is the smallest amount of space he would need? I'm just gonna let him out in the yard during the day so he doesn't get bored...his activity schedule probably won't change (playing/walking daily) and he will be inside after dark.

I've just been told that my dog has one bad tooth, up the top at the left. I'm bemused by this, because his teeth look to be in healthy order at the front, and he has always had a good quality diet, and is never allowed to eat crap. In fairness, I've never actually brushed his teeth, because I didn't think I had to during the first year (because they lose their teeth anyway)...can someone shed some light on this!? Is it a sign of something more sinister?! Or is it usual to have one rotten tooth and for the others to be fine!?

He is 12 months old and is a German Shepherd.

I have 2 Chow Chows they are 9yrs old and 8yrs old. Unfortunately two years ago I moved and pets were not allowed. My next door neighbor owned a house and took the dogs in. She took over complete ownership and allowed me and my family to visit them as much as we wanted.

Now the woman can't take care of them anymore because she was evicted from her house. They are currently staying at a friend’s house until my family and I can find proper homes for them.

Can anyone help me? I need suggestions, and they don't have to both be adopted by the same person.

Serious answers only, please.

Thank for your help

I have a 6 month old yorkie who has a slight biting problem. Its not like an aggressive thing most of the time, more of like a teething or eating kind of thing. She likes fingers and toes. I have re directed her several times to toys and such, but she wont kick the habit. Other times I try to play with her and she gets really aggressve and starts barking and running around me trying to bite my toes and fingers. Its almost like I can not play with her without her doing this. It always seems like she thinks I am trying to hurt her when I am really trying to play with her. (like moving a toy around the floor and such)Is this play? Or is this a problem that needs some professional help??
