She trains dogs and boasts her earnings and has taken exams for this. BUT her own dog she leaves locked up all day in the house without attention. Also some years ago she had a small dog in a flat which she never cared for, in fact my son had to take the dog away from her and took it to an animal rescue centre where sadly it had to be put down. She's no dog lover. We have 2 dogs of our own so we know what we are talking about. She just cons people out of money in a cruel uncaring way.

Just report her. I know it may be difficult when the family learns of this, but I am a professional trainer, as well as having 4 dogs of my own. You need to contact Animal Control, The Humane Society, Your Local Shelter, and any other authorities that can help. Also people are paying money for this service, and I am sure they would not hire someone that treats their OWN pets in a cruel way.

Maybe you should talk to her first and let her know that you will take the matter further if she doesn't become more responsible.

The fact that she is a dog trainer has nothing to do with it. She doesn't have to be a dog lover to be a dog trainer - sad but true.

Or charge her for the day care & you look after the poor thing.

I cannot understand how people do this to animals! You should report her to the dog training society, they can ensure that she will never be on their recommended panel of trainers. You could also place advertisements in the papers and shop windows warning peopl. But on a different note please get that poor dog who is locked up all day away from her and let him have the life he deserves. Good luck.

Maybe she's just one of those people who can teach, but can't apply their learning to their own behaviour. Like the swimming coach who is a good teacher, but can't swim himself. Just because she's not good with her own dog does not necessarily make her dangerous for her clients' dogs. Only another trained professional would be an adequate judge as to her work methods.

However, I would recommend she get rid of her own dog so it can lead a happier life while she focuses on her career.

I think you may have issues with your daughter in law that are NOT dog related at all. These after all are her animals and at least they have a home and are fed. If you report her what happens to her dogs? Do they get taken by animal control cause enormous fines (which your son may have to pay) and end up dead anyway? Think it through. Sounds like you are having a hard time accepting that she is your daughter in law

i can understand how you feel
if you feel that your daughter is doing all this, then report her but before you done that why you sit down with her and tell her how you feel and she what she say but if she dose not care about what you say then do it
if she cons people out of there money
if she not a dog lover then why is she doing this job for ?

unfortunately it doesn't sound like there's anything the humane society could do either as long as they have a roof over their head, clean surroudings, and fresh food and water and aren't being physically abused the law does nothing. It's usually assumed that they are being loved. You should tell her boss about the conundrum maybe he or she could talk some sense into her.

Follow your gut on this one! Thanks for helping the voiceless!!! I feel terrible for her dog she ignores all day!! If she deals with dogs she certainly knows they need attention and exercise. I would tell her your concern and suggest if she cannot care for her own she should find it a happy home and advise her not to get another one!!

Talk to your son and tell him your going to report her. See his side of it all and when everyone feeling are out on the table. Then you do what you think is the best thing.

If this is true contact the RSPCA for advice.

Be sure it's true though as if she finds out it was you who reported her it will cause huge problems within your family.
