Usually around 6 months after they finish nursing. It is healthier for the dog not to breed twice a year. Wait at least until the heat after the next.

It really depends on the breed of dog and the individual herself. Like humans, dogs don't always have regular cycles. I've known dogs to go into heat a couple months after they stopped nursing. She won't go into heat until after she stops nursing though. That's one thing you can count on. However, if you aren't wanting her to get pregnant again, I would keep her away from unneutered males because her cycle can't be put into stone. I hope this helps.

6 months or so until she goes back into heat. After the puppies are weaned and her milk has dried up everything should be back as it was and most of the hormones gone you should be able to take her to a vet and get her spayed before she goes back into heat. If she is for breeding purposes them I suggest missing every other heat cycle to give her body a chance or you are stripping it and cutting her life short.

It depends on the type of dog. Most typically 7-9 months.

Unless you own and operate a breeding kennel, kindly have your dog spayed. It will prolong her life and help curtail the cycle of unwanted puppies. If you have a breeding operation, you should already know the answer to this question. My guess is you don't, and you have not had your dog spayed.
