I got the cutest dog yesterday, And dont know what to name him. He is a german shep/ Rottweiler. And the laziest thing on earth. He looks like a bear, So im thinking..."griizzly"? I dont know! Check theese pics out and tell me what you think.

I have put a bed inside my dogs kennel but she frequently takes the bed out and sits outside. This behavoiur has only started happening recently. The dog is 8 years old.

I've been looking for a long hair miniature Dachshund for the last 6 months. I couldn't seem to find any pet farms (the reputable ones) that have it. And I've asked around about getting one from Australia through a pet shop on Balestier, they're asking S$2700!!! It's a bit insane to have to pay that much for a dog. I wonder if there are other routes I could take to get a more affordable one. Your help is appreciated!

I dont understand why a dog has to be totally castrated instead of having a vasectomy. I can see if someone wants to calm their animal or is having behavior problems. but if an owner just wants to keep his dog from reproducing would that not be better? I have heard lots of people choose not to spay or neuter because the pet many times gains weight.

She's a six month old Welsh Corgi and has been housebroken for a couple of months now. Tonight I noticed a thick, cloudy discharge on her fur after she urinated. She is acting normally otherwise and has no other symptoms. What might the problem be?

My dog is a mix between a manchester terrier and a jack russell terrier. So, she is very hyper and is about a year old. She loves others dogs but they always growl at her. It seems like the problem is that she is too hyper and they don't know how to deal with that so they tell her to back off. I've had her around probably 20 dogs now and slowly introduced them but the other dogs just don't like her. They try to snap at her and bark at her. My dog has never once done that she is just too playful. How can I get her to get along with other dogs?

i want to get brother and sister dogs to keep each other company, but i dont want the girl to be spayed so she could one day have puppies, but when she hits maturety and goes into heat, what should i expect and will she but dangerous during heat? is this a reason to not get a unspayed female dog? are some breeds more aggesive during heat than others, and if so, which ones?

we just got this dog from a friend of my moms and she is 9 months and we want to use her as a cattle dog.but she is scared and does not know what to do(as in hurding them.) Other than taking her with to feed and stuff like that how can we teach her.

I believe in feeding him nutritious food only-I feed Nutro Ultra dry food. He seems to love canned, as well.
I don't know if cans are a good idea.

I live in cincinnati ohio and need to find homes for my 2 dogs Brandy and Daisy because my mom has allergies and we can no longer keep them. =( Brandy is a sheltie pomerainian mix and she's 5 years old, Daisy is part great pyrenesse but she's only 65 pounds and she's almost a year old. My dog is a small dog and she is out side on nice days for about 5 hours a day with my 2 other bigger dogs ( they get along great) but any way my dog had REALLY bad breath i checked her teeth and i found some nasty stuff i got it out but here are my ?'s

while i was brushing her teeth bleed why?

What does this mean? My dog is getting an X-ray done next week to see if his hips are OK to work in the police force...but what will they be looking for? What is a score, and what is bad and what is good etc?!
