My dog is a mix between a manchester terrier and a jack russell terrier. So, she is very hyper and is about a year old. She loves others dogs but they always growl at her. It seems like the problem is that she is too hyper and they don't know how to deal with that so they tell her to back off. I've had her around probably 20 dogs now and slowly introduced them but the other dogs just don't like her. They try to snap at her and bark at her. My dog has never once done that she is just too playful. How can I get her to get along with other dogs?

not only is she a hyper dog she is only 1 year old so she is a puppy. you maybe introducing her to older dogs. try a pup. And when she turns 2 you should see a big diffrence. I know I have a 1 year old and sometimes I wonder if I will make it to 2.

I have a hyper 1 yr old pup as well, and interacting with other dogs can be a challenge because they get confused when he starts bouncing all over the place. Usually, before I take him into the dog park or over to a friend's house where there will be other dogs, I take him for a walk/jog to work out some of his energy first.

Maybe find dogs of similar age and energy level. That helped with finding my puppy dog-friends. The three dogs around here are all 5+, and Boo is 4months old. They're lazey, she wants to play and play and play. So then I brought her to a friend's house, and she met this 8month old mutt whose a little bigger than her and they just hit it off. There were a few other young dogs around, too, and they all did well together.

Just try finding younger, high energy dogs. Could help.

first i would walk her untill she tires a bit more..it may take a long walk...and try the same dogs again when she is a bit more tired... little dogs are boucey and other dogs find it annoying...so if u don't correct the hyper behavior the other dogs will.

well i have two dogs...a 2 1/2 male pug..and a 13 week old male husky....my pug is a crazy one, all day and night he is playing and attacking the poor puppy who wants to play about only half as much...

unfortunatly you have to find dogs that are as small as yours, and young, as well as hyper too!

i do worry about the future of my pug as the husky continues to get bigger and undoubtably a very strong dog, because as a pup he does get plain sick of it, and goes a lil tempermental on the pug...

good luck to the both of us!

you are lucky to have a dog that has real personality. if you can't get her to interact with other dogs, than i say just enjoy her as she is.
