Should I bread my dog I don't know if I should or not...

PLEASE DO NOT BREED YOUR DOG!!!!! Yes, puppies are very cute. How cute do you think it is when people tie their puppies up to trees outside because they don't want it anymore. Or it ends up as a starving stray. Why don't you go to your local animal shelter or pound and see all the cute little puppies that are going to die today because there are not enough homes for them. If you love puppies than don't breed your dog.

You actually make me sick.

I know a lot of people will give me a thumbs down for this but if you want to breed your dog dont let anyone tell you not to. Ask yourself this, if you always leave it to the professionals and breeders like you hear so often, how do they get started?? With 1 litter right? Gotta start somewhere. Just keep in mind that if the puppies dont sell or god forbid you have one with a disability they are still your responsibility no matter what the condition is. Do you have the time and patience to devote to such an innocent little baby? I personally made this decision to breed my yorkies and was blessed, yes blessed, with 1 that has hydrocephalus. Luckily, I have had experience bottle feeding and caring for other helpless babies in the past and I am a stay at home mom so I am able to devote plenty of time to caring for my little Angel. Once again, dont let anyone disourage you from doing what you want, just think about all aspects of what might happen. Good luck!!!

Do you know anything about breeding? Do you know how to care for a pregnant dog? Can you financially support a litter of puppies? What if they fail to sell? Will you be able to house them and care for them until proper homes are found?
There are a lot of things to consider when attempting to breed a dog and those are just a few. I love puppies too, but wouldn't breed a dog just to play with some and try to make a buck.

no you really shouldn't breed if you don't know much about it! first of all in breeding it takes a lot more effort than people actually think about! you need to do some research and have the right materials for birthing! learn about the gestation period, how long they're preg. for, keep up when the pups are due, be there for the birthing incase of difficulty... there is so much to it! second... most the time you end up losing money rather than making money!! there is alot of cost into breeding and having litter of puppies... also if there are complications, or for puppy shots, worming, feeding, giving the pups a proper clean place! please do your research and please reconsider this...i just don't want to see any puppy mills or pups on the street that end up in the shelter!! i'm not saying HEY don't do this becuz alot of really GOOD BREEDERS had to start somewhere!! just do the homework and research needed and good luck!!

All puppies are cute but thats not a good reason to breed. keep in mind it could end up costing you a ton of money and grief. if you make money off puppies then you are doing something wrong. i have been a breeder for many many years and have put more money into puppies and the parents then i could ever make by selling a puppy. possible problems, mom could get infection, mastitis, not be able to feed puppies, may not produce enough milk, may need c-section, puppies could have, cleft palate, trouble with trachea, heart murmurs, infections from scratch from litter mate etc there are so many things that can go wrong. vet checks, vaccinations, deworming, etc dont breed unless you have the time and money to put into puppies, the mom, and finding them exceptional homes. registration cost money also. and if the dogs arent registered or show quality you really shouldnt breed, breeding is done to better that breed not to make cash. so many dogs and puppies end up in shelters dieing, sick and unwanted keep that in mind.

Absolutely not! Pet overpopulation is no joke! For every human born there are approximately 5 dogs born and approx. 9 cats! That would mean to fix the problem, my family of four people would have to own 20 dogs and 36 cats!

No one needs puppies from your dog! There are too many dogs and puppies in the world right now. Make some money another way, please! And spay and neuter your pets immediately!

Please, PLEASE listen to us and don't breed your dog. Making money is an irresponsible motive for bringing more puppies into the world when dogs and puppies are euthanized every day because there are not enough loving homes.

I have an idea-- volunteer to be a foster home for a rescue organization or shelter, and emphasize that you want to foster puppies. Sometimes with shelters, it is unhealthy for a pregnant shelter dog to give birth at the shelter, so they need people's homes to have the puppies give birth and live the first few weeks of their lives until they can be adopted. Then, you get to care for "cute puppies" and you get to save dogs' lives!

No - You should not.

Your reasons for wanting to breed are all wrong "Because they're cute and I can also make money".

Take a look at a local lab rescue and look at all the labs they have looking for a good home - Don't add to those numbers. Have your dog spayed.

NO!! do not breed your dog. there are too many pets in this world so you shold spay and nuter(sp?) your animals. If you like animals, thats great! ADOPT a puppy that will warm ur heart from the local animal shelter. If u care about animals, adopt dont breed.

if you want to breed yoru dog just for "cute puppies" then i suggest you dont. there are alot of "cute puppies" at the humane society that turn into "not so cute adults" and are put to sleep.
