I have a 4mos. old pittbull and everytime i walk him out, he would sniff the ground and would eat everything! from stones, to candy wrappers, to cigarrette butts. this would take most of our walking time just trying to take stuff out of his mouth. how can i discipline him?

hi guys.......i live in chicago and we all now that summer is near...,and i'm thinking to buy a siberian husky.....

I have a dog that I really love, well, she barks at EVERYTHING and the neighbors complain, I don't want to get rid of her, but I have tried everything, and the only option I can think of is a bark shock collar, and I don't like the idea but I want to keep her, do you think a shock collar is bad?

dont say take him to the vet. im going to. im just wondering what are possible problems? he's almost a year old. he only limps sometimes, sometimes he'll walk and even run on it. i've picked him up and moved his arm, squeezed, pushed on it, he never crys out. you would never know something is wrong except that he (sometimes) limps on it. what might be wrong?

I have a year and a half old Chinese Crested. I feed him Purina Beneful dry food and I mix it with Purina Mighty Dog wet food. I use to feed him Nutro and before that Eukanuba.

What is the best dogfood that can add years to my dogs life and keep him at his best?

I am planning on getting a papillon, I have done some researching onthem, but I was wondering if there were any papillon owners out there who could give me any extra information, like if there are any surprises I should look out for.

I already Have a Siberian Husky, should the two dogs get along? Do papillons get along with strangers or children?

I know I'm asking a lot but any info you can give me would be awesome! THANK YOU!!

I got my yorkie puppy a week ago from a breeder, who had been feeding her purina puppy chow since she started eating dry food. After I read the ingredients on puppy chow's bag and did some research, I realize how aweful it is! corn as main ingredient?eek
So i bought her some new food, like innova and canidae.
But...the thing is, my puppy wont eat anything other than crappy puppy chow!! i've tried mixing canidae with puppy chow and she would just pick the canidae kibbles out of the bowl. Then i've decided it if i leave her no choice maybe she'll begin to eat the "right food". So I gave her only the canidae kibbles for the last couple of days and she has only eaten a small handfull. I caved in and gave her puppy chow since I really dont want her to have hypoglycemia or something cause she's so tiny,
I wonder what i could do, I really want her to be on better food, not crappy corn meals.

We just adopted a 6 month old black lab from the shelter and I was wondering if anyone here things Jasmine is a good name for her. I have already had a dog named Bailey and Dakota!
I kinda like the name Jasmine but does any 1 else have a better name for a girl black lab. She is very cute and sweet. B4 we got her her name was Sweet Pea but I didn't really like that so I wanna change it!

I have a 9mo large breed dog. For the past few days she has ate almost nothing. About a week ago I gave her a de-worming pill for the first time. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. Thanks for your advice.

My 6 month old corgi is red and white with a white blaze on his face. Just recently I have been noticing SEVERAL black hairs on his back, between his shoulder blades! how come he is getting black hairs now? and will he continue to get more? b/c i really want him to stay red and white!

What should I do. He is actual 13 years old and he's blind and deaf, I haven't crated him in over a year and last night I broke down and put him in there to quite him down, this was at 5:00AM after no sleep, even after I put him in he continued...he's fine when he's upstairs with me, however he cannot be left unattended when we're not home or sleeping as he WILL deficate all over the house. HELP I NEED SLEEP!

Okay. I am in desperate need of a job. I am currently living with my boyfriend, and rent isn't cheap... Neither are bills. I was starting to think about dog walking. I love animals and it would help me stay in shape. How many people do you think would hire me to go walk there dogs for a couple hours? Price would be around $10 an hour... I need some input on this, I really like the idea. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
