Flushing the eye out with water will help, but your vet can provide you with some ointment that will really help with whatever your dog has gotten into her eye and it isn't that expensive.

Just follow the instructions on the back of the container and do the same for your dog as you would a human.

If flushing the eye very well with water still leaves your dog rubbing it's eye or not opening it all the way, then take your dog to the vet. They can help your doggie.

After a few minutes the ammonia is long gone; only the irritation remains. Rinse the eyes a little bit with water, then keep the dog from pawing herself.

I dont think so. I would do what the Vet says to use, using other stuff can be dangerous. If you are gonna use anything else, use water.

Well they say to rinse the eyes with plain water for 10 to 15 minutes.It's likely that you would know.. The eyes would be burning like mad.

call poison control and read the bottle of amonia they both will tell you how to treat this. its for people but same for dogs.
