We just adopted a 6 month old black lab from the shelter and I was wondering if anyone here things Jasmine is a good name for her. I have already had a dog named Bailey and Dakota!
I kinda like the name Jasmine but does any 1 else have a better name for a girl black lab. She is very cute and sweet. B4 we got her her name was Sweet Pea but I didn't really like that so I wanna change it!

She is a girl and the reason I didn't name her sweet Pea is because I wouldn't wanna say. " Come here Sweet Pea or Get the ball Sweet Pea ." that name is too long and too many sylables

Jasmine sounds like a good name to me. If she's already used to being called Jasmine and you don't mind the name, then I would keep it.
But if she doesn't know the name Jasmine, you still have some time to change it if you want to. Check out the link in my source list for a lot of great suggestions.

I agree with Kathy A, I like jet. Just think what the name will sound like when you call to her at the dog park. I think sweet pea is a cute name, but can you imagine yelling "get the ball sweet pea!" See my point. LOL

Go with Jasmine. Names like Midnight and Shadow are awfully common.

Coco or Cocoa, Velvet, Midnight, Shadow are good names for this dog. We had a dog we called Jasmine once. She was a Bouvier and she was CRAZY!

My husband once had a beloved black lab named Sheba. Jasmine is OK....maybe spell it Jazmin and call her Jazzy. What do you think?

My aunt had two black female dogs and she named them:
Black Magic (Magic for short)
Black Velvet (Velvet for short)
I like Jasmine though, too, very pretty.....
