The bump that you felt could be any number of things. Sometimes the sebaceous gland at the hair follicle gets infected and develops a sebaceous cyst which can be expressed and medicated and it will go away. It could also be a form of doggy acne or an infected flea or insect bite. Sometimes dogs develop bumps from lying on wooden floors. It depends an awful lot on where the bump is and whether it is being fed by a vein or artery. If it is not a topical bump, you may be getting into tumors which could be either fatty benign tumors or cancerous tumors. It is time to see your vet to find out whether you have a serious situation on your hands or not. I had a bump checked on my dog a few weeks ago and it turned out to be a sebaceous cyst. My vet expressed it and she is fine now. Good luck!

Remaine calm first off. It might be any of the following; a cycst, tumor, fatty lump, an absest, or a mole.
Now, you need to take your dog to the vet as soon as you can so that the vet can diagnos/treat/explain what it is to you. If it is getting bigger it will probably be the cycst or a tumor. You do not need to panic though. Tumors do not nessesarily mean cancer. Also if it is an absest the vet might just tell you to look after it until it pops (my grandma's shitz shu had an absest in her back. It popped and now she is just fine)

There's really no way to know for sure without having a vet examine your dog. It does sound like it may be a fatty tumor in which case it's nothing to worry about, but your vet can tell you for sure.

where is it???
Many times you will feel a little "ball" shape at injection sights. they can be caused by a cyst or absess growing where vaccinations were given. Often times they go away, sometimes they will need to be drained and treated by a vet.
My GSD gets them every time she gets vaccinations, they clear up in about a week for her though.
keep an eye (or feel) on it. If it keeps getting bigger, or doesn't go away in a week or so, give your vet a jingle

My schnauzer has about 3 under the skin. They are firm, kind of like one of those bath gel balls, and they roll around under the skin. My vet says they are just fatty tumors. He says that as long as they are really firm there is usually nothing to worry about. He says if they are soft, get them checked. She has one now that seemed to pop up quickly and is in the mammary line (around the nipples) that he is about to check out for me.

just go to the vet, we cant diagnose it for you because it could be a number of things, one things for sure is that it is not good that it is getting bigger. usually the vet will do a fna,(fine needle aspirate), where they poke the lump with a needle and send the fluid inside out to lab for analysis, that will tell them what the lump consists of, then generally you will want to get it removed, again depending of what it consists of. take your doggy in to see the vet.

Probably a harmless fatty tumor. Take your dog to the vet, just to be sure.
