I want to go to school to become a vet tech but my mom said they only make around 28,000 a year

Why are they paid so low, I want to get an associate's degree

My dog is a golden retriever, Hanna-Belle. shes nearly 11 years old and i love her to death. shes quite healthy considering she gets around slowly for her old age, and one leg is shrter than all of the others, due to surgery as a puppy. other than that shes in good condtition. Her mother died at age 10. any idea as to Hanna-Belles lifespan??

almost every single night when we put our labrador retriever in its kennel, she lays down for a while, then gets up and starts to "dig" in her kennel as if she is digging a hole....what is up with that? it makes this really annoying scratching sound. and she does it randomly throughout the night.

Does anybody know of a dog that is not to big not to small and great with children and doesent shed? But it can't be a minature poodle. I guess it can shed a little but NOT alot. Have any suggestions?

My puppy just recently got spayed and has a lump under her incision. I know this is normal, but how long until this goes away? She also had hernia surgery at the same time and has a lump there too. I am assuming it is from the dissolvable sutures and/or scar tissue. Can anyone give any info?

I have a German Sheppard that is 7 years old. He sees the vet regularly and all shots up to date including a monthly flea and heartworm preventative. Anyway, he is going to the vet tomorrow but I was hoping someone could give me a few ideas until then. He started acting a little funny yesterday but I did not think much of it. Well today he was still a little down but I had to go to work. Well I get home from work and he is acting like he feels real bad. His nose is real warm but the odd symptom is he has this very slimy drool that just hangs from his mouth. Now I know this is common for some dogs but not for him ever. he will not eat or drink and just acts really down in the dumps. Does anyone have any experience with this? I mean the snotty drool is so odd. i know his other symptoms could be anything but what about the drool? Could this be a sign that he has ingested something harmful? any ideas would be appreciated.

I am looking for a basset hound puppy... does anyone know where I could get one around $100? My husband is in love with them but $700 is just to much... when you think about shipping and all the dog stuff you have to get... I want to give a puppy a forever home but just haven't been able to find anyone that would cut the price!

I have a 1 year old beagle who never shuts up, she will howl all day and night. I know this is the type of nature for this kind of dog, but my landlord said if she doesnt quiet down i have to move or get rid of her. She just started doing this about 2 months ago. thanks
