Terriers are notoriously the most highly sexed of all breeds and tend to show heightened territorial behaviour when desexed let alone when undesexed!

Neutering a Terrier would result in:
Decreased aggression
Decreased territorial behaviour
Decreased - ceased need to mark territory
Decreased anxiety associated with territorial behaviour (you may not realise it but undesexed males are extremely anxious)
If you want to try out the difference between entire and desexed without the surgery - there is an implant / injection called "Superlorin" it is a chemical castration giving you up to 12 months of seeing what your dog would be like castrated.

No real side effects. The dog might become more friendly. Just think of all the good things that come out of neutering a dog. Less risk of testicular cancer is one. Good Luck.

they usually just calm down a bit, since they lose some of that excited energy, but other than that their personalities remain the same. neutering your dog is great for his health, talk to your vet about all the advantages.

I had my yorkshire neutered when he was 1 year old, and nothing changed in his personality. He's still the same lovable baby dog (except he's 7.5 years old)

Sometimes they can become less abnoxious. I think it's better to have dogs neutered because it's soooooo unbelievabley gross when people dogs hump you and then their little (or huge) ding dongs pop out. IT'S DISCUSTING!
