we just got a puggle too hes 12wks and chews on EVERYTHING! we found that getting him a toy from petstages worked the best (you can get it at target, petsmart, anywhere that sells pet toys). its a rope with a tough rubber chewy thing in the middle. he loves it. We also have squeak toys for him too that are softer which helps. He still bites us but just say no in a deep stern voice and give him a chew toy instead if she keeps biting you continue to do this. Also getting bitter apple i think its called help 100% our puggle was chewing on shoes, wood, paper... etc i sprayed that stuff on our couch shoes slippers doors end tables and since then... no chewing! (at least not on that stuff). THeres also something called a chilly bone at petsmart that you get wet and then freeze for them to chew on but it works just as good as wetting a washcloth and then freeze that (and cheaper too) because our puppy doesnt really like the chilly bone I think its too big for him.
As for the hyper- yep ours too. I found taking them out on walks or out to a park helps emensely (however you spell that) tires them out for hours and they sleep. I try to take him after I get outta class so I can get my homework done and then again before I go to bed so I can sleep. Helps alot!
Good luck and congrats!!!

I suggest crate training. Before you discount the thought thinking it is cruel, think about this. Your pup gets into things she shouldn't doesn't she. The crate will keep her from not only chewing up your things, but it will protect her from possibly swallowing some of those things and having it get caught in her digestive tract. Just keep her in the crate at night-time and while you are out of the house. When you are home, take her outside and when she goes give her a treat and praise her. Take her inside and let her play for as long as you can keep an eye on her. Depending on how long she has had free time, take her back outside and once again, when she goes, give her a treat. She will not want to mess in her crate because it she will not like to be that close to it.

Good Luck

First, take the puppy to the vet to ensure good health. Feed your puppy a good diet such as Natural Balance Dog Food which can be bought at Petco. Crate train her asap. This will make her an excellent behaved dog. Just remember she is a baby and will need to go out often.....even in the middle of the night. Play with her and give her lots of excercise. If she bites you, say NO!!! very firmly and put her in her crate. She will catch on quickly. I have a Pug. They are smart little dogs.

for the biting:
use bitter green, or smack her whenever she bites, say NO BITE in a stern voice.
for being hyper:
take her to training classes. see if your park district has activities. if it does, see if there is dog classes. my rottie went to obediance just for 44 bucks.
