I faintly remember seeing a show on tv about a dog that walks on sheep's backs. It might have been an Australian dog.
Does anyone know the breed of dog? Thanks.

Yes Kelpies or Australian Cattle dogs or Border Collies are often used in herding sheep in australia and are fantatstic working dogs.
PS As an Australian Vet Tech these are also the breeds of dogs I see the most for bahaviour and aggression issues with people owning them in suburbia and inner city and they get extremely bored. They herd up children, cats, guinea pigs and thing they can find!

Most kelpies and blue heelers do this when they have moved the sheep into a run for loading into trucks, into shearing sheds or ready for dipping. They do it when the sheep are jam packed together.
