when it comes to a male or female dog and if so why???????

I have no preference. There are people who say that females are more independent than males, but I've had male and female dogs and both sexes have been great dogs! Your dog will become what you want it to be.

I love male dogs. I waited 21 years for a dog, and I KNEW that my first dog was going to be a boy dog. I'm not really sure why, but my mind was always set on a boy. Well, when I went to the Humane Society to find my first dog, I ended up getting a female. She is the perfect dog for me. I guess I thought that boy dogs would have more energy to play and take Long walks, but my female has plenty of energy, and Loves to play rough and take Long walks.
I guess I just chose a dog based on it's individual personality rather than it's sex.

I like male large dogs and female little dogs. Male large for no particular reason, but I like female little dogs because they tend not to hump everything in sight, and belly rubs are easier for me...sorry, I just get grossed out when a little male dog wants a belly rub.

Yes for some reason I like male dogs better that female and I like male horses better than female cause my old female horse always try ed to throw me off she had mood swing

I think male dogs in general are more adaptable and laid-back. I heard Donald McCaig (the sheepdog author) speak one time, and he says there's a reason they call female dogs bi***es! Haha.
I've had both. I used to worry about males raising their legs inside to mark, but it's not been a problem.
P.S. I have a red boy dobe and a fawn girl greyhound right now.

Nope! All dogs have different personality's. Both males, and females, its just the dog, and how its raised and trained.

Female, calmer easier to train because they are not always distractted, more loving

females are gentler and nicer to humans. they don't think that they are better.
