I live on a busy street and I park my car out front. Everytime I walk to my car there is definete evidence that a dog has done his business in the area between the sidewalk and the street in my yard. I have never been able to catch the person allowing his dog to do this. I don't mind as long as you pick it up, but I shouldn't have to walk through my own yard worrying about stepping in doggy doodoo.
Any ideas?

Sunny is a big dog that is almost 2 years old. He fights with our other dogs. And he digs were the electrical wires to the fence are buried. We have tried everything and he won't stop.

Like whenever my dogs hear an ambulance, they make a loud noise and whine or scream but they dont when a car passes by? The ambulance does have a loud siren on it too. Does it mean that the dogs can sense if someone's hurt from afar?

My dog was being bad so i pulled his ear and he did a screaming/whiney kinda thing. It was, like he was yelling alot. But when i kinda pull his tail, he doesnt do the same noise as he does when i pull his ears?

I adopted a puppy from the pound last week. He started coughing with a runny nose. He was diagnosts with kennel cough, and put on anti biotics. That was 5 days ago. He has not eatten or drank in 2 days, has no fever, continually vomiting, no diareah. He has had 2 rounds of fluids from the vet. The vet told me this morning that he has pneumonia, and puppies usually don't make it through this. I am devistated. Can someone give me help?

In my local newspaper today it states that the humane society of the U.S. said it purchased coats from Nordstrom, Andrew Marc, Tommy H and more and found that they were trimmed with fur from domestic dogs. Even though the fur was avertized as fake. Most comes from China although the racoon dog fur comes from Finland. The raccoon dogs (These look like oversized, fluffy raccoons) are killed routinely by stomping them, beating them, or skinning them alive. Video posted on the internet from Swiss Animal Protection shows dogs clubbed or slammed on the ground some writhing, gasping and blinking as they are skinned alive. Besides buying NOTHING with anything that even closely resembles fur what else can we do? There must be something that we can do. Any ideas?

Were getting a new dog, we already have a cocker spaniel. My mother knows two friends who's dogs just had puppies. One has beagle pups the the other has cavalier king charles spaniel pups. We saw the puppies and we can't decide which one to buy. I personally like the cavalier pup but my mom like the beagle pup. I seen this blk and tan one and I just wanted to take home right away. Both breeds have these eyes that makes you want to have them. Pease give me some facts and insight about each breed, because it's so hard to choose. Thank you.

My mother put my dog and friend of 13 years to sleep cause she had cancer. She was the most beautiful dog i ever had. She was white boxer mix with spaniel. Most white with a patch around her eye. She was a runaway and we took her in. After she passed 3 days ago my mom and i can hear her runacross the kitchen floor and i have seen her outside in the snow. I believed she slept on my bed after she died. I hear they can return someday in different form. I hope one day she would come back to me. The past 3 days have been sad. I loved her so much and i miss her. Goodbye Moose!!!

Ok so we have a 3 month old Golden Reteiver (can't spell). He's a boy and it took us some days to name him. Everybody came up with the name Piper for him, but not me. What do you think?? I think its to girly...but thats his name. Wa u think?

o n i also wanted to know if anybody could give me some nicknames for him cause i prefer a nicname than his real name.

My dog licks obsessively and it drives me nuts. She licks her paws, she licks her toys, she licks the air before she comes in contact with someone, and then will lick them to death. I've tried tapping on her nose, holding her mouth shut and telling her no lick, and I've tried grabbing her tongue everytime it pops out, but she just won't stop. She even stands in the doorway making the licking sound and it's really bothering me!

Suppose you have been away for awhile (a few days or a week or 2 while someone of course takes care of it.)

Do you think he/she will recognize a face photo of yours scale 1 to 1 and start making that demanding high pitch sound when they want something badly?

Never had this chance, just curious.

I'm 16 and I'm female....My parents said that i can get a dog...We don't Have much room the house is small, and we live in a subdivision so it cant really be a big dog..and we have coyote problems so the people that do have dogs keep them inside...i need on picking a breed that would best suite a 16 year old.
