I have an old mac mini and want to buy a new one, what can I possibly do with the old one

One of my laptops has wireless internet access. I do not want to buy anothere pcimca card for the other laptop. When i want to use the internet, i want to connect to the other laptop and use the internet via the LAN.

I remember there was a tool called naviscope which allowed you to specify the proxy ip and work. Is there any other tool available.
