Who is actually going to watch the Oscars?

Question

Are many really interested in watching these overpaid, over egoed luvvies praising themselves for doing their job?
I do have my favourite actors/actresses and I do love films but.....come on....isnt it all a bit puke making?

I'm not watching it either. You're right, it's just an ego fest and I'm so sick of how the media is pushing the Oscars. It's advertised on the radio, tv, newspapers and Yahoo/AOL have big articles about it everyday. It's all hype!

I'll be watching a movie on dvd or reading instead. :-)

I totally agree with you. On everything. Yet, I say I won't watch them but I will end up like the other bums sitting at home feeling fat just coz I'm not stick thin like all the horrible stick insects that are the actresses. I'll probably watch Fashion Police and that crap, but I never sit through the actual ceremony. What a bunch of sycophantic prats.

Most people watch to see Hollywood stars making fools of themselves like Gwyneth Paltrow and Halle Berry and their disastrous and embarrassing acceptance speeches.

I will - my friend is coming over so that we can watch it on E and talk about the dresses - i'm sure i'll be asleep by the time they start handing out the awards though

Yes, it is puke-making, so I won't be watching it either. But you know what's worse? The Baftas.
