I am taking ultram 200 mg once a day with 800 mg skelatin 1 a day, singular 20mg -and 300mg wellbutrin XL, nexium 20 mg, and asocal 2400mg a day, and I was also added onto prednisone 60mg a day and then a decongestant and an antibiotic. Whats bothering me is I am very hungry all the time, and the most annoying side effect is rapid heart beat. NOT TO mention that the pain med is not helping my injured back. The other meds are for asthma, allergies, sinus infection, and
antidepressant. I am due to return to work from vacation on the 2nd, but I don't think its going to go to easy. I feel bloated, and nervious, and drugged.... not to mention I have a headache with all this..(must be the infection) can anyone tell me if its too much meds? can this be whats causing the
dizziness, palpatations, etc? what would you do?

a brand name medication, and copays are high, so asked doctor for a generic med to lower cholesterol since no generic available for Vytorin. Pharmacy says there are some at certain pharmacies as cheap as $4.00 copay/month! Doctor says, "Vytorin is working fine. Either take it or go see a cholesterol specialist" rather than write a generic script to see if it would work as well as Vytorin, even though a specialist wasn't consulted before receiving samples of Vytorin to begin with. Is this doctor being bull-headed about insisting on a brand name medication? Is there any reason "why" he couldn't give a generic script and have the blood retested in two months to see if the results are similar?

I know the basics about an ecstasy pill. They usually have some type of design or color, and something stamped on them like letter. But one day i found a sack of probably about 20 pills, they were quite small and they were shaped in a triangle with a letter stamped on the ( don't remember the letter ). Were these possibly ecstasy pills?

If one were to do an MRI scan of someone thinking about the concept of "God, " being that God is (theoretically) something seperate from just a concept, is the MRI scan any less "god" than saying the word, expressing the thought, or reading the Bible?

If one were to find we were wrong and there was no God would that MRI scan be any less "God" then it was when it was thought?

My doctor started me seven weeks ago on 40 mg adderall (IR, not XR) and as I research it it looks like most people start on less. I weigh around 120 lbs, and I dunno, it makes me concerned that maybe I've been started on too much or something. I've already built some tolerance to this amount.

What do you think? Was this crazy of the doctor or am I overreacting? Just since most people start on less I get nervous. =/

Koch's postulates are:

1. The microorganism must be found in abundance in all organisms suffering from the disease, but not in healthy organisms.
2. The microorganism must be isolated from a diseased organism and grown in pure culture.
3. The cultured microorganism should cause disease when introduced into a healthy organism.
4. The microorganism must be reisolated from the inoculated, diseased experimental host and identified as being identical to the original specific causative agent.

Now this is the Thing, Let's Say a Certain Disease is Cleared By Some Anti-X (e. g. Acyclovir Clearing HSV, a Beta-Lactam [Penicillin or Cephalosporin] and Some Infection). Are Not these Just as Strong a Evidence for the Presence of an microorganism as Koch's Postulates?

Furthermore, Prophylaxis, an Organism Administered Anti-X, Don't Get the Disease (e. g. HIV Post- Exposure Prophylaxis [Perhaps this Will Work In Pre-Exposure too]).

What is ultrasound therapy exactly. I had treatement with this for my knee injury when i was a teenager.
I have looked around on the internet and there is a lot of contradicting stuff on this form of therapy. Some say there is no conclusive evidence that it helps in the healing of the soft tissue.
Im considering using this type of therapy for my knee joint injury (cartilage repair) in conjuction with joint medication.

Is it worth it?
What is ultrasound supposed to do that helps cartilage/joint and bone tissue heal?

Where can i buy a personal ultrasound kit? are they any good anyway?

First, I waited in the waiting room while the receptionist joked about how the doctor doing my procedure would have a long needle, which he would have to stick me with, and of course, that was a lie. Then I went into a hospital room to be prepared for the procedure. The nurse did stick me with a needle, twice, I might add, but it was just one of those intravenous drips so that anesthetics could be given to me. Then I waited for about 15-20 minutes in my hospital gown, with the opening on the "backside," and in my hospital footies, which had smiley faces on them that helped me walk with a grip on the floor. However, there was no need to walk, as there was a nice looking male nurse who came to roll me into the room where my procedure would be done. I laughed to calm my nerves as an Anesthesist stated to me how I would be sedated, immediately, after she injected me. The male nurse, of all people, was still there preparing the scope that would be inserted into my 2007-12-28 12:29:26 · 4 answers · asked by Suzy Q 2

I suppose that's been the thought in mind that stopped me from donating. Also, that it can expire in 42 days. I'd hate to think that my blood, which I thought would go to a meaningful cause, went to a stupid/meaningless one, especially after all that pain and effort.

But of course, I'll never know. :/

So, I thought, the only way I'd donate if someone I knew was hurt and they needed surgery. Or if I knew it was going to a free clinic. Unless, you tell me that I'm wrong.
