My wife and I had a debate about vampiric rituals of gothic sub-culture. She said that the must drink blood similar to their type because if not, it will affect them like transfusion of wrong type. I disagree with her... I said, although unhealthy, drinking of blood with a different type does not cause any differently from drinking blood with the same type. Drinking blood of different type from the drinker is irrelevant.

In Wisconsin, a mother of three cannot get treatment for herself and her children. She called her mom (3/30/07) to let her know she called the non-emergency number to a local fire department and explained what was happening. Someone from the fire department went to the home to inspect the basement and discovered raw sewage and the presence of methane gas. The young mother has gone to a local hospital twice for help for her and her children. She called the poison control center, and searched the Internet and found a note from a man asking the same question---years ago. She could not believe no one responded. She and her children are out of the house, and staying with family. Nothing has been reported about the two older children; but, she and her 1-year old daughter are showing signs of methane gas poisoning.

I am studying the types of brain wave activity for an EMT class and I cam across an article in a magazine that stated if an individual holds their breath or does something that would increase the heart rate the brain waves would be similar to someone who is having a seizure...Do you think this is possible?

He told me I needed blood work for something. That something is one the lab order, but I noticed after I left that there were other things requested, too. The lab order includes creatinine, T4, and TSH.

I tried looking on the web, but I couldn't completely answer my own question. From what I can tell, T4 is thyroxine and TSH is thyroid stimulating hormone, and both relate to thyroid function. But what about the creatinine? I read that it's related to the breakdown of creatine in the muscles. I read that it's used to assess kidney function. I don't see how that relates to me, though. Any ideas?

I'm going to ask my doctor eventually, but my next appointment isn't until the end of June and even then I won't be seeing the same doctor. I suppose I could ask the person taking my blood when I get that done next week. Until then, any knowledge will be appreciated.

I am interested in knowing more about how to craft a living will.

What should such a document contain, does it need to be notarized, etc.

I am having minor surgery(cholecystectomy-removal of gall bladder)soon. The packet that the surgeon sent to me includes instruction to bring a living will with me, when I go for the surgery.

I am interested in your experiences with a living will, as well as referrals to sites that contain user friendly info.

Is there any organ or case in which hypertrophy would help? I don't understand why an organ enlargening is bad. Is it because the mechanism is fluid buildup, causing congestion?
