A muscle nerve preparation of the frog`s gastrocnemius with intact nerve from spine is generally used to demonstrate the actions of various substances to increase or decrease the force of contraction.
The substance tested is first applied only to nerve, only to muscle before and after myoneural junction is paralysed.
Curare, Cholinesterase, Veratrum alkaloid have proved their role.

well i am just taking a stab at this one, but i think the substance would be a acetylcholine inhibitor which would reduce (i believe) contraction in muscle tissue, i believe skeletal. I think this would happen since acetylcholine i believe is the signal that controls heart contraction, by increaseing ion channel openings in the tissue, thus is you inhibit these Ach receptors taht would decrease the flow of ions......... thats my guess and a bridged mechanism.

The possibility is it is an indication of more changes taking place in the evolution of living creatures, and time will prove what and how visible and valuable they are just as how human as we know today has evolved through apparently innumerable physiological and biological evolutionary changes!
