Why EDTA was used in tubes for blood collection instead of Heparin?

Aren't both EDTA and Heparin anti-coagulants?
IF so,
why isn't Heparin used?

My Kaiser pharmacy insists that 2 bottles should last me 100 days but I run out way before that time when I am using 4 drops per day. In the past other pharmacies have given me 3 10-ml bottles for 100 days. So, how many drops are actually in a 10-ml bottle?

My fiance' is sick, and the doctor gave him a cough syrup with codeine in it. He has a high fever and I gave him ibuprofen. Are these two drugs safe together, or could there be a problem? He is almost ready for his next dose of cough syrup. He is also on a Z-Pack antibiotic and taking breathing treatments and taking his inhaled as needed. He has been to the hospital once, and the doctor twice and only seem to be getting worse. I am really concerned and not sure what else I can do.

I take 50 mg in the morning and 50 mg at night, (( in 25mg doses ))and i accidentally took another one because i thought i only took one. I feel fine, but that isn't going to cause an overdose right? I dont even have high blood pressure, im on it for anxiety. CVS is closed, and the only way I would be able to find out is a hospital, and I have work in the morning and cant afford to miss a day.

When it comes to drugs, people tend to point to acetaminophen (Tylenol) as the most destructive to the liver. Is it really more destructive than other substances? How much would an adult have to take in order to cause irreparable damage to his or her liver?

Obviously, this is body mass specific, so please specify the limit and the weight of the person with that limit.

The bottle usually says to take two tablets, which I believe are 500 mg each. This, however, is probably safe for a 100 lb granny.

I was hoping someone can give me additional information on this certain eye disease, such as specifically WHAT IT IS, (in simpler terms to make it easier) history, and symptoms. I'm not asking someone to give a whole essay. If they can give me a website or some of what they know, that would be okay.

Have a dull almost piercing (but mild) pain in the middle of my shoulder, it feels like it runs from about the center of my shoulder towards my chest, but not all the way to my chest, just in that general direction.

Doesn't matter what direction I move my arm, I cannot make the pain happen, it only happens when I breath in through my nose, take a deep breath with my mouth, and sometimes while talking, it almost seems as though when I use my lungs that's when I feel the pain in my shoulder.

It's not heart attack/stroke, already had an ekg, bloodwork, all that good stuff done and told my heart is ok.

It's just getting on my nerves now, no pun intended. Has lasted about 2 weeks, taking 2 advil will stop the pain, but I don't want to keep taking advil all the time.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

There are 4 people awaiting transplant surgery and need organs ASAP or they will die suddenly a patient in a car accident was admitted and is in a coma. The doctors are in disagreement, do they convince the family to pull the plug and use the patient's organs to save the 4 people OR hold out hope that the coma patient will wake up and let the 4 transplant patients die.
