i mean what drugs do have a different interaction with insulins that can be bought without prescription.

Insulin does not have any interaction problems that I know of - BUT diabetics are warned against taking certain medications (like the heavy cold medicines) due to how the medications react with your blood sugar levels. One thing to avoid entirely - St. Johns Wort should NEVER be taken by diabetics - it can adversely affect your blood sugar levels.

Anything that you are interested in trying - talk to your Doc or the Pharmacist and they will be able to give you an idea if it is okay or not.

Alcohol, ,Aspirin,Beta blockers,Diuretics,Chromium picolinate,Steroids,Hormones,Contraceptives,Appetite suppressants and weightt reduction drugs interact with insulin. These drugs need not be totally avoided but must be taken under physician`s supervision.

I suggest to ask your phamacist as you do not specifiy fast or long acting insulin. He/she can give you a list of what to avoid usually at no charge. Sometime it's best to consult the pro.
