I'm a nursing student and I'm doing my care plan.?

Can anybody suggest me some interventions for hyeprtensive patient (besides taking blood pressure and giving medications)? I appreciate your help.

Besides the obvious, you can always suggest to the px to reduce risk factors like stop smoking, regular exercise, promoting healthy lifestyle, maintain ideal weight, moderate alcohol intake, moderately low NaCl. To have a detailed interventions you can always read your Medical Surgical Nursing book. Its all there.

Em is right. Discuss with your patients. Both of you will learn a lot.
