What is the treatment for methane gas poisoning?

In Wisconsin, a mother of three cannot get treatment for herself and her children. She called her mom (3/30/07) to let her know she called the non-emergency number to a local fire department and explained what was happening. Someone from the fire department went to the home to inspect the basement and discovered raw sewage and the presence of methane gas. The young mother has gone to a local hospital twice for help for her and her children. She called the poison control center, and searched the Internet and found a note from a man asking the same question---years ago. She could not believe no one responded. She and her children are out of the house, and staying with family. Nothing has been reported about the two older children; but, she and her 1-year old daughter are showing signs of methane gas poisoning.

Methane are simple asphyxiants which are physiologically inert. When present in high concentration, they displace the oxygen in the atmosphere. Victims exposed to them will suffer from lack of oxygen. So obviously the treatment would be oxygen. They should be taken out of the methane source not to increase more the level of such gas. The problem is: the oxygen level is altered so definitely, it should be corrected either by having oxygen inhalation, in severe cases if poisoning gets fatal, intubation and ventilator will be required.

I am bewildered at your statement that people have actually been poisoned by methane.....Whoa! That is interesting! I'll give you the best suggestion. Save the woman and her children...but.........take Mr.M.Karunanidhi, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, India.....and KILL HIM THERE! **** this asshole!
