Is it 1 pint no matter what you donate; plasma, platelets, whole blood?

No...it depends on what you are giving. If you are giving a double packed red blood cell, they actually take 2 pints of rbcs and give your plasma back. Platelets are not measured by the pint so they actually differ. Just a regular blood donation takes a pint of whole blood and seperates it into packed rbcs, plasma, and cryo. There are so many ways you can donate and help save lives!

It's always been a pint when I give blood. If they take much more than a pint from me, I get light headed and they make me stay a little longer and have some juice and a cookie.
I'm a sissy, but I don't mind giving blood. Blood is one of the life giving things that can really help out. I try to give blood every 3 months.

no they do not bec if u hve jenital herbies they dont and if u hve dieabeties they dont thats what i heard

I'm sure you can tell them to take less. If they go over, tell them to stop or you will never donate again.

no plasma they take way more but they slowly filter it back into your body as they filter out the plasma correctly called platelettes

i've got faith you may wait a month in between donating. they don't pay for donations... that it somewhat is why it somewhat is spoke of as a donation. Donating helps sparkling your device by potential of donating. Your physique will refill itself.
