I am taking ultram 200 mg once a day with 800 mg skelatin 1 a day, singular 20mg -and 300mg wellbutrin XL, nexium 20 mg, and asocal 2400mg a day, and I was also added onto prednisone 60mg a day and then a decongestant and an antibiotic. Whats bothering me is I am very hungry all the time, and the most annoying side effect is rapid heart beat. NOT TO mention that the pain med is not helping my injured back. The other meds are for asthma, allergies, sinus infection, and
antidepressant. I am due to return to work from vacation on the 2nd, but I don't think its going to go to easy. I feel bloated, and nervious, and drugged.... not to mention I have a headache with all this..(must be the infection) can anyone tell me if its too much meds? can this be whats causing the
dizziness, palpatations, etc? what would you do?

I can tell you that the Prednisone is why you are hungry all the time. I was on it a short time for my back injury and gained about 10 pounds. As for the dizziness and headache, that could be a reaction to many of those meds, or if you are being treated for sinus or ear infections they could also be a culprit. Best thing to do is call you Doctor and let him decide what is going on. The rapid heartbeat is more of a concern. Call the pharmacy, or on that is open 24 hours and ask for the pharmacist. He could give you info on that and help you decide if you need to be seen right away or not. Hope you feel better soon!

1.) Is the back problem work related? If so then you need medical clearance before returning to work.
2.) You need to talk to your PCP (primary care physician) if you are feeling this way.
3.) If your worried about the medication your on you have a couple of choices:
You can make an appt with your doctor and discuss how you feel.
You can talk to your pharmacy to see what type of interacts you are having.
Speak with you Dr. about different types of medication that will not make you feel this way.
Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon
