Just to let you know this was my first time and not many of the nurses wanted to stick me with the needle because my veins are small. One nurse ended up getting the needle into my vein after three attempts and from then on out was fine. Afterwards, though, my arm felt a little weird like my vein was being tugged a lot or it just felt very awkward. I just want to know if this is normal because I would love to give blood again.

i mean e.g. ultrasound and MRI scans that r harmless, and can detect cancer early before it is too late to cure it (some cancer types develop within 3 months rather then 3 years e.g. thyroid anaplastic cancer, etc . why r we not doing them say each 2-3 months to be on safe side? is it due to costs or pure stupidity? better be safe then sorry no?

My wife and I were watching a medical TV show, and while the Dr. was explaining what the procedure he was going to perform, he was scrubbing something MAD out of his hands!

So we were wondering, what week in medical school do you actually learn how to properly scrub your hands so intensilly like?!

We assume it's not the first week or two, because they are still worming out those that just won't cut it.
