If I stop salt, sugar, alchohol, and excercise regularly, how quickly can blood pressure drop? how quickly can results be seen? Obviously there are some variables, but in general. (Or what are the variables)

I did a study on this very thing while I was in med school.
Working at a factory with the company physician, I had a group of volunteers do just what you are doing. I saw them weekly
for 12 weeks. I followed their blood pressures, resting pulse rates, and blood cholesterol values ( blood testing only at the beginning and end of the 3 months). I also encouraged them to stick to their exercise (aerobic) program.
With diet and exercise, virtually all of the guys (these were all men) showed improvements in resting heart rate and blood pressures within that 12 weeks. The average man dropped systolic pressures by 10-20 and diastolic by about 10 mm Hg. Other parameters improved, but I was most impressed with the rapid improvements in blood pressures.
I think the stress relief was a major factor. My group did not lose weight. That was not the goal. I wanted to reduce their risk factors for heart disease through simple common sense maintainable changes in their daily routine.
It is difficult for us to change our habits. It takes motivation and someone to provide encouragement. ' Hope you have someone who will
support you in this.

I'm studying to become a neurologist so I can give you some decent advise (but not gauranteed as I'm not fully trained). First, do some more CT scans - I am worried when you say she still has headaches. This could be bad... make sure there are no bruises - CT scan will identify this (and sometimes these hematomas take a few months to form). I wouldn't worry too much about the pressure at the back of her head... you can't "feel" your brain and what is going on in it because there are no sensation cells there - the reason why they apply only local anastesea when operating to numb the skin. If she starts vomiting, go to the hospital IMMEDIATELY - this means pressure is building up in the skull.

Not necessarily. High BP is also very often passed on from family members. So, until you are tested for the reason for it I'd be very careful, cuz if it goes up real fast you'll have a stroke and if it goes down real fast you'll be dead. I don't believe in not giving the real facts. Get help.
