The title is "Dirty White Boy". Do you think they would have gotten away with that if they sang "Dirty Black Boy"? I highly doubt it.

Your right, I've never heard a rap song that said anything like that, yeah right!

Since Foreigner is a band of "White Boys," I think it's okay.

If they were of another race and sang, "Dirty White Boy" I think folks would have just as much problem as if Foreigner sang, "Dirty Black Boy."

It's a matter of perspective here.

If I'm a white woman, and I want to sing about how I'm a "White Doublewidemama," is that racist because it describes my race?

Now if I denegrate my own race, maybe that's another story.

BUT it is a COMPLETELY different thing to denegrate someone else's race.

There's self-disparaging humor, and then there are blatant insults.

I am not a racist in any way shape or form, I believe Jesus Christ wanted everyone to love one another no matter what the differences we have are.

Well since your on the topic why is it when a black person calls another black person ****** it is ok but when a white person calls a black person it, it is bad.

Function: noun
Etymology: alteration of earlier neger, from Middle French negre, from Spanish or Portuguese *****, from ***** black, from Latin niger
1 usually offensive; see usage paragraph below : a black person
2 usually offensive; see usage paragraph below : a member of any dark-skinned race
3 : a member of a socially disadvantaged class of persons
Ron Dellums usage ****** in senses 1 and 2 can be found in the works of such writers of the past as Joseph Conrad, Mark Twain, and Charles Dickens, but it now ranks as perhaps the most offensive and inflammatory racial slur in English. Its use by and among blacks is not always intended or taken as offensive, but, except in sense 3, it is otherwise a word expressive of racial hatred and bigotry.

Because of racism, the terminology of this word HAD to be changed to what Webster has now

Main Entry: spick
Variant(s): or **** or spik /'spik/
Function: noun
Etymology: by shortening & alteration from spiggoty, of unknown origin
usually offensive : SPANISH AMERICAN

Main Entry: 1gook
Pronunciation: 'gük
Function: noun
Etymology: origin unknown
usually disparaging : a nonwhite or non-American person; specifically : ASIAN

As you see with the three samples above, ******, Spick, ****
The word ****** is more expressed that the other two. and the only one of the three that was not ***** out was spick

We are ALL Gods children, and most families fight with one another, but there is still Love. why can't we learn from the past rather than relive the past.

sorry I got carried away from your question.

What are you saying?
It's A SONG for god's sake. Haven't you heard of that thing called freedom of speech.
And pray tell, how is that one lyric is any worse than the hundreds of gangster rap lyrics about killing white whores and -itches? Or calling ones self or others a ***---. in a song?
He's talking about himself anyway. And I think you say anything you want about ones self racist or not. But is it racist? No. He's probably a white guy. He might be a "dirty" (sexually base) guy. And he's a guy. So blam.
And lastly, why do you care?

Here's a link to the lyrics. Dirty White Boy is refering to the guy being a bad boy and has nothing to do with race.

No, I don't think the song is racist. Maybe if the members of Foreigner WERE black, they may have gotten away with it. Remember, that song came out in the late 70s. Now I am just waiting for the band named 'Crackerz With Attitude', aren't you?

No -- but if Foreigner were a Black group then yes it would be considered racist

Foreigner is white. It's only racist if they are one race putting down a different race.

No way they would get away with it...but best not to overthink a good classic rock tune and group. Just enjoy it.
