my 1 yr old chihuahua seemed to do fine until i moved back home w/ my folks. She happens to like doing her business in their room or office.Any suggestions on teaching her to alert me to let her out. [up until we moved here she had the luxury of a dog door]

I'm having the same problem with my male MinPin. He's 3 and WAS housebroken up until we got our CHUG (1/2 pug 1/2 Chihuahua) The moment she came into our home a year ago he started peeing on everything (marking his territory) and he has been doing it ever since! Since you moved to a new place your dog is doing the SAME THING. She is marking her territory, letting you know what she thinks is hers. She will probably keep doing it until she becomes used to her surroundings (how long that takes it up to the dog) Just be careful because everytime you move, this will happen.

The same thing happened with my grandpa. He was always using the toilet and then suddenly he needed diapers.
