One dog has very rough pads on his paws and the other one has paws that are not like this.What can be done to soften the pads & why are they so rough?

My vet recommended vaseline for one of my dogs who has this problem. It works really well, just don't use it for too many days in a row because you don't want to soften his pads too much. Some dogs just wear out their pads differently than others do - only 1 of my 3 has a problem with rough/cracking pads, and then only in the winter.

You cant soften a dogs pads theya re like that for a reason just like everbody else we cant all be the same are you like your siblings?
