In my life i have rescued many dogs, I have many stories, but one always stands out. Napoleon the Alaskan Husky (Note: Alaskan Huskies are NOT Siberian Huskies).
As an animal control officer you always have one dog that is your arch enemy. This dog was so wise and cleaver he would evade me and his owners at all costs. He could escape any fence, and chain, and any restraint. The owners and I would do everything but he could never be caught and eventually he would just head home when he was done frolicking. He was a pain in the butt outside of his home, but in it he was sweet, loving, and well mannered. His owners did all they could to be good owners and we never gave them a hard time. They had rescued Napoleon and his littermates from being buried alive by a owner/breeder that didnt want the extra dogs. One day he dissapeared, the owners called frantic he didnt come home as usual, the weeks went by and only a few sightings and tips came in, 3 months were gone and the owners gave..
