Hi,
We own,show and breed Staffords,
Depending on how old your pup is i would worm once every 2 weeks until it is 12 weeks then worm again at 6 months and every 3 months till 12 months old.Use a good wormer from your vet such as Drontal or Panacur.
As for Diet i like a complete food as it helps with teething,i would recommend Burns mini bites puppy,it is an excellent quality food, both of mine were fed on this,no problems with upset tums etc....make sure fresh drinking water is also freely available.
You should be feeding a young pup 4 times a day till 12 weeks, then 3 times a day till 6 months, then twice daily till 12 months, when if you wish you can drop to one meal, remember to slightly increase food when you drop a feed.
Hope this helps.

worming should be done once amonth up til the dog is six months old, then every three months. The best wormers are panacur or drontal here in UK.
You staffie should be given a small breed puppy food up til 9 months, then moved onto an adult small breed mix. Make sure you dont over feed your pup. Alot of staffie owners seem to think the dogs should be full of bulk, but they should be lean with muscle..not barrel-shaped with fat. Keep the dog well excercised, but don't over do it as they can get all sorts of joint problems. I wish you luck with your new puppy as they make great family pets

As for diet, I highly recommend Nutro Ultra as it has produced marked improvement in my Poodles since I switched from Nutro Max. He should be fed 3x daily until 6mos, 2x daily until 1yr & then 1x daily. Some additional protein such as cottage cheese or yogurt is also very good for their digestive system. Use the highest fat content of these dairy products (4% & 3.25%). Worming should be done only if there is an infestation as worm meds are toxic & hard on the pup. Since I don't know what part of the nation you live in I can't give you an assessment on the risk in your area. An example: in the S/W US - low; in the S/E US - high. When in doubt, take a stool sample to your vet. Good luck!!

Buy a good brand of puppy food, don't bother making any yourself.
Worm every 2-3 weeks til 4 months of age, then every 3-4 months for ever and ever.

Where did you get your puppy? The breeder is the person who should give you this information. Keep him on whatever food he has been used to for at least the first few weeks then, if you want to change his diet, change him gradually onto other foods.

Vet advice essential for your puppy to grow healthily. Resist scraps and human food and too much fat. Exercise him regularly and spend time training him. My staffs both love raw carrots and they keep their teeth in top form too. Good luck and enjoy your puppy.
