I have an 18 month old female american bulldog she is well behaved but when i leave her in the house on heer own she wees and poos has any body got any helpful tips 4 me on how to stop her and if there is any particular reason apart from her needing to it would b highly appreciated .

I am looking for a dog that is relatively long lived, (10-12 years), likes the outdoors, is good around children, but is also protective. I read all these descriptions of dog breeds, and either it says "not to be kept around children", or "these dogs have no homing instinct and will run forever, so owners must always keep them on a leash." I don't know whether to believe them or not. Actually, protective is less important than having it not run away forever, because the most fun my dog and I can have is running around the old strip mines, down game trails or prairies, off a leash. I hate to keep him on a leash, but so many breeds either have disclaimers saying they're bad with kids, not protective, or will run away. Is there any that is all three, and is'nt so big he will only live 8-10 years?

I just got a puppy that is about 8 weeks old. She is huge... She is part boxer and part Lab. I haven't owned a big dog in a very long time. My question is how much should I be feeding her???

She eats like a pig and always seems hungry but I don't want to over feed her. I've been feeding her 2 cups (8 oz) of puppy chow a day one cup in the moring one in the evening. Is that enough or should I feed her a little more.

My 9 week old beagle whines at night when we put him in his crate. He wakes up 2 times, 2 and then again at 4 or 5. At 5 he does not go back to sleep unless he is in bed with us. How do I get him to sleep in the kennel and go back to sleep better?

My dog is 13 years old, and recently he stopped eating his food. so we tried all different kinds and he wouldnt eat all of them. then i noticed he was eating plants. this morning he threw up. im really worried about him and the vet says he is perfectly healthy. what is wrong??

I have a 6 year old min pin and I wash her at least 3 times a week and she still smells like she hasnt had a bath in months. she is an inside dog and only goes outside to go to the bathroom. she doesnt roll around in anything. Can someone suggest something thanks in advance.

There is a very scared stray dog in my neighborhood. I would love to take her in.. I have put food out for her and she will be across the street and wait for me to go inside my house. Untill she knows that i will not go back outside. She will then eat. But the whole time looking all around her. She is part chow i think.. But she is terrified of any human being. It has been so cold outside below 0 degrees. I feel so bad for her. How can i make her trust me?

My dog has someone cracked a nail all the way down and the vet said to just bring her in. Shes a fairly large dog but not huge, maybe 60lbs? I have an suv and i was just gonna put her in the back, but ive never drove her anywhere, am i suppose to just set her back there or do i put something with her, is it legal to just stick a dog her size in the car? comments? please?

The dog keeps the stuffed animal in it's mouth and prances around proudly and will not release it for days. This dog does not get along well with other dogs and has been rejected for obedience training and regularly pisses off the owner by peeing inside the house.

He is 7 months old. He is going in the vets at 10am and we're picking him up at about 5pm.
We want to drive up to a friends in the country that night, its about a 3 hr drive. Will he be able to hack it?? Or will he be sick etc?
I can easily change the date of the appointment.
Ive only had bitches previously, and I know to neuter a boy is a slightly less complicated operation.
