I do 1-2 a week and I wish they had a side effect!!!
Sometimes they may be a little lethargic from anesthesia till about bed time then they are ready to rip and run like fools. The younger the better. Younger ones are yapping and carrying on when I pick them up.
Females its sometimes a little harder on them with a spay. Its gonna be the reaction from the anesthesia not the neuter or spay.

A bit of soreness for which you will probably be given some pain killers to give to your dog, also he/she will be quite wobbly on their feet for the rest of the day and obviously he/she will sleep a lot, you will be advised on what to feed your dog, usually something light like scrambled egg or chicken or fish (watch for bones of course)

Dogs are normally a bit sore after the surgery but there are no known side effects. Actually having a male dog neutered will prevent testicular cancer, and allow your dog to live longer. Its been prooven, male dogs only need their testicles intact in order to reproduce. Also it makes the male dog calmer and less aggressive

on no account knew a male Chi who did no longer mark everywhere whilst he matured, so opposite to a pair evaluations, i could neuter spectacular now. this is plenty harder to coach out male behaviors after the reality.

They are a little sleepy and sore for a couple of days. Also, you must make sure they don't rip the stitches. Other than that, they have a little sweeling at the bag where the testicles were. and in due time their appetite increases.
