I have a pom mix about 7months. I've only fed dog treats and carrots as snacks but I was wondering what other type of food are ok for puppies.? At the same time, I don't want him going crazy when he sees human food.

Okay, I know what you're thinking. Why would anyone do that? She is currently in a great foster home and is VERY sweet and lovely. The foster mom told me she adopted her dog with heartworms, and he is now negative. She was very honest with me and is going to give me more details tomorrow. The rescue group is going to pay for the treatment. Any thoughts?

here are some pics of him so u can see what he looks like! it helps with names... but my fiancee and i are stuck!! help!! eeek! he cant stay nameless or "maybe frankie"...

I scold him with a firm voice and remove him from the spot but that's not seeming to work. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have a long-haired daschund (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and he gets in these growling fits for no reason. He is absolutely the sweetest dog outside of these growling spells. It happens when I pet him, hold him, when his brother comes around (he is the sweetest thing), when he eats, and when he gets woken up. I know, when DOESN'T he growl, right? It gets really irratating, and I have tried many things to get him to stop. I talked sweet to him in the beggining and reassured him with petting, but he snapped at me twice. I have tried a squirt bottle of water, pinning him down (he pees when I do this), Yelling "no" forcefully, and many other things. My dad makes me put him in his cage now. He is fed up with the behavior. If anyone can tell me why he does this or how to make it stop, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks

My soon to be 6 mo. old Min Pin has an appointment to "get fixed" a.k.a. spayed on Tuesday. She is really energetic and sassy...I will be so upset if this changes her personality...but, I SURE don't want to take ANY chances on her getting pregnant.

I have a 7 week old rottweiler puppy does any one have any idea on how to stop her aggressive behavior towards me?

I play with her all the time, she has plenty of toys and chew things to keep her occupied when I can not play with her, but the last few days whenever I go to play with her she growls and snarls at me and eventually bites me...

I have had two rotty pups previously and none of them were like this and Im fairly sure that I treated them all the same at this age.

I dont keep her locked in a crate when I cant play with her, or I go out....I have the laundry set up for her with her bedding, which is in her crate but I took the door off. I have toys in there for her.

Does any one have any ideas about how to stop this aggressive behavior?

ps...no smart comments please about how rottweilers are aggressive or dangerous dogs!

My chocolate lab was injured....not sure exactly what happened.....late Tuesday. His paw pad on his back foot is ripped up pretty bad and his webbing in between his toes are ripped. Some minor scraps on his knee and thats about it. I dont know what exactly happened to him anyway....took him to the vet , nothing is broken and no serious injuries other than his foot. Question is....he has now laid around in his bed for the past two days...I have to force him to get up. He drinks eats all that good stuff but he just refuses to get up, frankly I am pretty sore from picking a 90 lb lab up and taking him outside. He seems like he is sore also..lol....should I just let him lay until he is ready to get up? Please no rude answers...Thanks a bunch
