I have a pom mix about 7months. I've only fed dog treats and carrots as snacks but I was wondering what other type of food are ok for puppies.? At the same time, I don't want him going crazy when he sees human food.

You have the right idea Kay.....treats are fine (and are essential when training) but it would be better not to get the pup hooked on human food. We have 3 dogs and my wife made the mistake of feeding them little bits and scraps while she was cooking and how they stay underfoot begging when they see food. If I were you I would stick with dog treats and occasionally you could slice up a fat free turkey hot dog wiener and feed bits of it to the puppy. Just don't feed her in the kitchen or dining room (you don't want her associating these rooms with food)......Good Luck

We have 2 Poms now and have had 3 others in the past 20 years. You have to watch what you give a Pom because of their size. They have very fragile teeth. I would find a dry puppy food that he doesn't usually get and use it for snacks. Just make sure it isn't too hard and too big.

I have a pomeranian and since they are such small dogs and dogs period they shouldn't really be fed human food because one time I was at the vet and they had to keep a poodle over night to pump it's stomach because it's owner was feeding it cheese and it made it very congested.

I'd really stick to doggy treats, my pom loves beggin strips, ALOT! But, for smaller dogs I'd break the treats into smaller pieces also because they can't gulp it down like a bigger dog.

Good luck!

people who declare you do not could characteristic fertilizer have slow launch fertilizer integrated interior the soil combination......in many situations seen as little balls. those will slowly launch nutrition into moist soil. They final approximately ninety days. you do not could fertilize while the roots come out. you're stable for 3 months. After that be happy to start fertilizing.......yet using fact the eco-friendly witch reported above.......continually dilute previous what's stated on the fertilizer kit. If the educational say a million tablespoon per gallon, bypass with a million teaspoon. Over fertilizing is a quickly thank you to wreck flora.

give him high quality treats like you would give him high quality food; science diet makes some nice treats, both bones and jerkey, that my dog loves and there is mother hubberds peanut butter treats and bacon and cheese treats which the guy at my boarding kennel says smell good enough for him to eat (although i wouldn't do it it wouldn't surprise me if he did...). as far as people food i will sometimes give my dog cheese slices, peanut butter and he loves carrots too. whatever you give him i would suggest taking away some of his normal ratio of regular food as you don't want you dog gaining weight.
