I have a really rare kind of cross between a Pomeranian and a dingo and I don't know if I should feed it raw meat or canned puppy food.

someones pulling your leg mate.who told you it was a pomeranian dingo cross?anyway to answer your question, canned foods alright now and then.it has vits.and minerals that they need, but it's not good all the time.same with raw meat.i quite often cook up a big pot of meat and vegies, throw in some rice or pasta, gravy thicken it with cornflour or gelatine.dogs love it.another thing that is very good for them is fish.(anyone who says different doesn't know what there talking about)i give my dogs a medium sized can of good quality cat food once a week.i also ocassionly get fresh fish and boil it,(lots)boiling makes the bones go soft.the dogs love it.and by the way all my dogs have had a very long life and they never had needles or worm tablets or anything else unnatural.and that includes heartworm tablets.iv'e only ever had one dog die from anything other than old age and it was from a snake bite.he was 16 years old though.
if you give them raw meat be very selective,it gives them worms.
PS!DONT EVER FEED YOUR DOG RAW OFFAL AS SOMEONE ELSE SUGGESTED.

every now and then I let me dogs share a hot dog, like we went on a train and I bought them a boiled hot dog to share as a special treat. I wouldn't give my dog hot dogs every day, they have a very high sodium content and they aren't healthy for you dog in the long run. But I don't see the harm in a once in a while snack maybe once a month or so but not everyday.

eh, if its an inside dog i would NOT feed it anykind of wet foor or raw meat. that will make it sh*t like never before. it will be runny and really nasty to clean up. but if its outside go ahead but everynow and then mix some try food in with it. Pedigree has a puppy food my two little dogs love so instead of straight wet food feed it mixed...

Some dry dogfood, a wholegrain biscuit, some dogfood meat, chunks or something in stew, something you saved from a meal today or yesterday like whole grain rice, or beans or vegetable, a little fruit but not much, an egg once in awhile, Also some dog bisquits.

Eggs for shiny coat
Raw Bone, Never Cooked (very bad When Cooked)
Raw meat, liver brains etc whatever is cheap at the supermarkets.
Never force your dog to eat. If not hungry put meal in fridge and feed it to it the next day.

Ps. If you want it to learn a nifty trick you could try schmakos. I seen it in the commercial and man those dogs can do trick. Of course they are made of play dough and are not actually real.

Never buy canned food. Rubbish. Not enough vitamins and needy things in it and your dog will end up with problems.

A dingo is a native australian dog and should be light in build. As it is a natural hunter it would be preferable to feed small amounts twice a day and once a day once a week. This would be better for the digestive system. My mother used to breed Great Danes and she used to get meat from the butchers and mince it up and make a stew for the pups. This proved to be both economical and healthy. Mix veg and brown rice in small amounts with the meat. Carrot is good for the coat as well as eggs.

I would find a premium kibble such as canidae, wellness, blue buffalo or merrick and supplement that with alternating meals of raw meats/veggies.
Avoid feeding canned as a main staple of the diet, it is bad for the teeth and can lead to obesity in dogs.
Do a search for BARF (bones and raw food, or Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) to see what/how you can feed. I feed chicken breasts and cow hooves. Dont give raw meat the same meal as kibble, it can cause upset stomach and vomiting.

the best way to go is to give your dog the recommended intake of dry food (will be on the packs and they contain all nutrients needed) and a little bit of meat (we usually go the pet food in the supermarkets, the rolls, i.e chicken and rice, chicken and vegetables, lamb and vegetables, give them a little bit of that to flavour dry food and heat with a bit of hot water so food is warm when served (allow to cool if water if hot, can tell from feeling under the bowl). I spoke to a few breeders before deciding what to feed my dogs and this is what most recommended

Science Diet puppy food and some canned dog food would be best.
Just because you think your dingo is wild dosn't mean it eats that way.
So is that a Pomaringo? or a Dingoranian?
