Well, it could be one of two problems.... she can't hold it until you get back or........ she has some emotional reason for doing it. If it is the first reason maybe a doggie door might do the trick, providing you have a fenced yard. I put one in for mine and she loves it! She's in & out all the time! If this is not an option, then maybe confining her to a smaller area would be a good idea, since dogs generally don't like to soil where they play and sleep. You can do this by closing doors, baby gates (they even sell doggie gates in the pet store!), or I have seen a mat that you can put in entrance ways, on couches, etc.. that release a shock when stepped on (these are to train dogs or cats where they are not allowed).
Now, if it's the second, then it could be more tricky. If she is soiling even while you are gone short periods of time this one could be the case. She may be bored or simply upset you left her. I would suggest for sure limiting her area in the house, as I did above. Also, I would leave her some toys to occupy her while you are away, Kong chew toys are amazing for this! You can stuff them with treats, peanut butter, frozen broths, etc.... Dogs love them and they take a long time to get everything out. I would definitely leave a radio of t.v. on for her, as noise makes them feel not so alone.
I hope these help you out! Good luck!

It depends how long you leave her alone for. If you are leaving her for more than 4 hours then its your own fault not the dogs. If you were left on your own for long amounts of time you might get pretty desperate. But never leave a dog in a room where she does not have access to water. It should be available to them 24/7 so they don't dehydrate.
If you are only leaving her for 10 mins or so then sorry but I have no suggestions other than to start from the beginning and try to retrain her about where she should be going

This is a common symptom of separation anxiety and you might want to get some advice from your vet...in the meantime do you have a dog crate as these are great for helping with this problem .as long as you introduce it carefully your dog will see it as a den and dogs don't usually mess there dens. Also you might want to try using a DAP infuser (looks like a plug in air freshener) these can be purchased on line(cheaper than vets) and omit a hormone that helps to calm your dog..put it near her bed..Try to make no fuss when leaving your dog and when you come home just ignore her for a few minutes until she is calm ,this will help her understand that its OK for you to go out(in doggy language!)good luck and whatever you do dont be angry ..she is just worried were her babies are- its instinct.

Always make sure she has been nefore you leave the house. Watch her habits in the house. If you have time watch her going to the loo outside and start putting newspaper down where she goes most often. If you catch her going somewhere else pick her up in the middle of it and move her to the place where you want her to go.
When you arrive home and she has done something, ignore her and tell her she was naughty for doing it. Only reward good behaviour, so when she goes where you want her to go, make a big fuss of her.

Its attention, when you return do you scold her ? the best way is to ignore the mess put her straight outside and then praise her if she wees/poos,
Do you have a crate? it sounds harse but i wouldnt be without mine now, it not only deters her from messing in the crate(as they hate to soil their bed) it also keeps he out of harms way, and reduces the amount of mess she makes in your house ie: chewing ,,,,,, good luck
