I am moving out of my home to go take care of an ill family member and I have to get rid of my dogs. They are so close and I do not want to seperate them. One is a 6 month old pittbull, one is a year old mix(but he looks like a lab). Would anybody be interested in adopting them? Or does anybody know of a good website or dog farm where they can stay together?

My 1 and a 1/2 year old Yorkie has fleas. She always comes inside itching after she plays with the doggie next door. We usually find one or two fleas in the water after we give her a flea bath. I'm hesitating to put a topical treatment like, Hartz because she sleeps with us and i'm afraid it will get all over everything. So I basically have 2 questions. 1.) Is there anything I can give her orally? 2.) If I do give her something that is topical, how soon can I give her a bath?
I hate to see her suffering, so we need to do something ASAP!!!!! I have given her pills that we got from our Vet that get rid of all the fleas for up to 24 hours, but I would love to find something for her so that we wouldn't have to worry about it all the time and she can play with her friends! Thanks in advance for all your answers :)

I have a cane corso /pitbull cross he is classed as a dangerous dog but he is a loving affectionate dog and shows no agressive tendencies. No dog should be left alone with a child though

My boyfriend and I are thinking about getting a puppy.

If it is a boy dog I like Dexter and Lexus.
If it is a girl I like Daisy and Suki

Do you like these and do you have any other suggestions?

Many thanx

In my last question I asked about her whining, but I have another problem... I also have a red nose pit that will growl at the weiner dog even if she's just walking by. The pit has snapped at her one time when the puppy tried to get in her bed. She always raises the hair on her back and it makes me nervous. I don't want her to eat the puppy. How can I make them get along? Keep in mind I used to have a weiner dog with the pit, but she past away earlier this year so I know she gets along with other dogs.. Thanks!

They're 2 and 3. Male JRT/Beagle and female Black Lab/Pointer mix. No more chewing, no running away, they come when they're called (even when loose at the dog park), they don't go "potty" in the house, they don't run out the door every time it's opened, and they're eating and drinking just fine. We feed them Natural Balance, walk them every day and take them to the dog park so they can run to their heart's content. We also work with them giving them things to do that stimulate their minds. My JRT sleeps a lot when he's not playing and doesn't go insane for attention. They're really good dogs now that we've gotten the separation anxiety and puppihood out of the way.

What am i doing wrong? By YA standards they should still be terrible dogs, right? I mean, everyone else on here does all these things and they're dogs are still troublemakers. I must have gotten lucky?

Anyone have an explanation?

Can some one please tell me why my dog ate her litter. eve Is a chow mixed with a pitt and she is two years old a stray dog got into our back yard about three months ago he looked sick and was a mutt, we caught them stuck backwards and ran the stray off one morning. december 28 2006 eve had seven litter they looked very little but by this being her first time we did not know what to do so we put blankets in her house and she went into the house and had the rest of her litter i think it took her a whole day to have them all she did not have them at once. we check on them three times a day, January 2, 2007 we get up to check on them they are gone no sight of the puppies.

She's a 9 week old weiner dog that whines constantly. It's mostly when I'm in a room and shes outside the door and wants in. She will do this at 3 in the morning and wake everyone up. I would let her in, but she's not fully house broken. Help! I need a good night's sleep. : )

My puppy was kennel raised and I'm thinking from his behavior he had little interaction with humans and his only source of fun and socialization was other dogs. I say this because whenever my other dogs are around he totally ignores me or tries to get away. If I hold him he'll whine and whine to get down because he wants to play with the other dogs. I am not a novice to dog training and have tried seperating him from my other dogs in our training and walking sessions. I also have made it so he depends on me for his source of fun, food, etc. It does not help. I put him in a down-stay and he stare the other dogs whinning for their attention. I've had him since last June and he just seems to get worse not better. One of my dogs just doesn't like him and stay's clear of him (which is odd for her). My other dog would play with him occassionally in the beginning (before I noticed the problem) but he didn't know when to stop despite her warnings. What should I do?

I'm thinking of getting a dog and was wondering...how many bags of food does your dog go through in a month and how old is your dog? Trying to figure what it would cost me to feed one.

From time to time my dog will take my wrist in his mouth and "gum" it. He doesn't bite or apply any kind of pressure. What is behind this behaviour? He doesn't do it to anyone else in the house.

i was at a friends house just before christmas and their dog followed me into the bathroom, which didnt concern me, after peeing i could hardly get him to stop "inspecting" me. He seemed quite agressive about it, he seemed to get abit aroused i think. Has this happened to anyone else or is this a realy freaky dog? I know u see posts of weird stuff on the net but is this stuff for real? If I shouldnt even be asking this, I'm sorry.

Help my little black lab Whiskey is still peeing in his kennel. He just does it during the night, we try to wake up when he whines but sometimes he whines so quietly we don't hear him. He is doing really well when we are in the house and awake but at night he always seems to pee in his kennel. Is there anything I can do or is it just that his bladder is still pretty small and he can't hold it? Is this normal?

At the vet's office, my dog whines constantly and very loudly. He doesn't bark, nip, or lunge at people. He just whines. He's caused such a ructous that we've been asked to wait outside. How can I get him to stop?

He's often around other dogs, and he only does this at the vet's office. I don't know how to train him the command "quiet", since he's always quiet if not at the vet's.
