k, i get to take my dog to our office, and he likes to get cozy in my office room, and while im on the computer, he likes to cozy up to me, and just lays his head on the legs of my chair. its a roller chair if it helps. and he is just shaking like crazy! i dont know what it is. he just started this about 10 minutes ago. his ears are back, and everything. what can i do? and what can be wrong with him? i had the flu about 3 days ago, could he have gotten it? the more I talk to him to comfort him, the more he shakes.

Do the wee-wee pads encourage the dog to go to the bathroom inside rather than try to hold it?

For example, would a dog who could hold it for an hour go on the pads after 30 minutes, just because they're there and smell like grass?

We have a lab that had been housetrained since it was 3 or 4 months, however, that has all changed recently now that she is 1 3/4 years old. She has starting pooping in various places in the house away from where we can see her and it really stinks! She never poops in front of us unless we are outside with her. Any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks!

I'm looking for a new dog. I need a puppy that won't mind spending some time alone at home with my two other dogs while I'm away at school. I will have time to brush it and play with it at home but I would like it to be able to potty-train easily. I'm also wanting her to be cute(of course!). Well if anyone has answers I really appreciate it!
Thanks a lot,
SurferGrl

The instant killing of a dog which attacks a human being is unjustified as no consideration is given to any provocation or pain the animal may have endured - or the degree of blame attributable to the behaviour of the owner. And what about guard dogs specifically trained to attack - do they have a 'license to kill'?

I have a pure bred beagle and while i was in the shower she dragged my brother's hidden box of cigarettes into the living room. i dont know if she ate any but there were four of the cigarettes torn apart and the stuff inside was all over the floor. If she ate any will it hurt her?

We have one near our home that's many acres. It's kind of like an open prairie (with some trees) along the river. (Not in the middle of a city, it's more of a country setting.) There are a number of paths for humans to walk along while their dogs run through the fields and swim in the river.

My question is about picking up after your dog. I pick up after my two (even if I have to trek through 3 foot weeds to do so). I've noticed that no one else picks up after their dog though. Is this a place where it's ok to leave dog cr*p? It is acres and acres of fields and I never see dog poop on the paths.

Dogs of any breed can and do attack children. Their owners will tell you that their dog is gentle and harmless, and they will tell you their dog is good around children. Well it is wearing a bit thin now. This thing that if you train and show the dog who is boss it will be OK. Not true. In fact it is very naive of any dog owner to think this way. Owners do not know 100% that their dog can be trusted, and so should not say so.

i ask a few questions regarding my beloved pooch, jess. but there seems to be this stigma that dobermans turn on their owners easily? there was one attack this year involving a doberman (that was publicised in the media) and so much more come from pitts, staffies, rotties. so does everyone know somthing i dont? by the way i am a responsible owner who has trained and loved my pooch very well and she is the best and softest dog you'll ever meet. she isnt allowed of her lead yet because her attention diverts easily and before you ask; i researched this breed for over a year before i got her!

With the recent news of the poor little girl who got killed by the dangerous dog, what do you think about the dangereous dogs act? Should there be one?? I think all dogs are not dangerous unless the person who owns them trains them up to be the way they are..... We have a problem around our area where Bull mastive dogs are being trained for dog fights...... What do you think!

#1.ok i know what everybody will say. its marking but hear me out. my puppy is only about like 7.5 months old, and when he goes on a walk around the block, he actually pees eight times. not just marking but really squating and peeing. is that weird of is it normal of his age.
#2. whenever he decides to go to the bathroom he runs into the room and starts barking and biting hands and feet. we now know that when he gets bothersom its time for the bathroom. but is there any way we can change his behavior when he has to let us know when he has to pee?
#3. how do we get him to stop biting peoples feet when we walk into the house? its like he goes crazy!!! he is starting to get stronger jaws and its starting to bother. and no matter how often i clip his nails he still calws us when he jumps up on us. he has started breaking skin on my family, when he jumps. and if you have your back turned to him he claws repeatdly(sp?) i mean i am the target of his claws next to my mom.

HELP!!!
Thanks
