Argh! I don't even know where to start. It's misinformation like this that KILLS so many pit bulls each and every day. Disregard about 90% of the answers you've gotten to this question.

Your pit bull puppy is no more likely than any other breed to bite someone when it gets older. Perhaps you SHOULD give the dog to your sister..and I'm saying this hoping that your sister isn't as ignorant as you appear to be.

I have a pit bull pup. We've had her since birth as we owned her mother as well. I know that they are very loyal and loving animals that are feared largely due to bad publicity...it's not headline news each time a Lab or a retriever attacks someone, but I guarantee you that if it were a pit or a rot or a dobie, it would be publicized. It's all in training and providing loving home. When training, don't hit the dog, or physically reprimand your animal. I use a water spray bottle for guidance. It's very important that trust between you and your pet is firmly established. im or email me if you have any questions.

I do not care what anyone says, Pit Bulls are wild and dangerous. I know 500 people will respond to this and say "my pit bull has never bitten anyone..." yeah, well neither had all the other pit bulls on the news that just killed an elderly person or a small child. There was a story here in Nashville last week where a 15 year old boy was riding his bike in his neighborhood, and was attacked by a group of pit bulls. They can snap at any second. Get rid of it as soon as possible.

Are you asking if it will bite when its older?

Pitbulls are not vicious by nature- although they can be mistreated to make them tough and be real attack dogs

In order to make a "fighter" pitbull it takes people years to make them that mean.. Ive known many people who have owned this breed with no problems and often my son is around 2 females- hes only 1 and im not afraid of these dog becausethey are not "mean"- im more scared of the neighbors little mop dog around him

If you are saying its already a mean dog- best to find someone who wants a dog for home protection - not as a pet

In many parts of Canada Pit Bulls are illegal! I wonder why!!! Do you have children, or visitors with children or neighbourhood children around? These dogs are dangerous and they were bred for one purpose only and that was to go head to head with a bull in a pit hence the name pit bull! Talk to your local animal shelter for advice or sell it to your local junk yard because it's a junk yard dog not a family dog!

Your question doesn't make sense....Did it start biting people when it got older...or are you afraid it is going to bite people when it gets older???
If it is biting anyone it needs training ASAP...possibly neutered (if he isn't) If you can't provide this, then you need to give it to someone who can or the dog needs put down..ANY dog who is biting people and is unable to be trained to behave differently should be put down IMO...it's not worth the risk.

BTW..here is an interesting article on dog aggression/breeds...notice..the ones sighted as being the most tempermental are : Chows, Giant schnauzers, etc. I have many years exp. with animals and have seen more mean cocker spaniels, chows and akitas than I have EVER seen mean pitts.

Pit Bulls are the number one dog that bites and kills people both in America and England. I suggest you get the dog put down. Save a Child's life.

If you are asking if the Pit is going to bite when it gets older, that totaly depends on you and how you raise it...I raised and bred them and mine were awesome...If you are mean to the dog in any way shape or form then there is a good possbility it will be mean when it gets older...All in all it depends on how you treat the dog.....

A Pit Bull, like any other dog, does what it is taught to do. Most I have ever been around have been relatively docile. A Chihuahua has much worse temperment than a bulldog. Why don't we outlaw them?
