We have NO time to clean it in the mornings, so we justc wipe it out with the soiled towel, and put him in there for the day. I feel really bad for the pup because my dad is getting really fed up with him and spanks him, hard. Please help

I have been planning on getting a doberman and now all of a sudden my husband is saying that he is afraid of the breed at that the dog is going to scar our childrens faces, attack them etc. I know that this is not the case, and that they are wonderful dogs. The puppies were just born and i can't believe he is wimping out like this....how do I prove to him that these dogs are actually very sweet. I won't be able to get it if he doesn't get over his fear because the dog will sense this and then could possibly back my husband into a corner and "tear off his face"

for anyone out there who has a hearing ear dog...do any of you own regular dogs too and do you think this would negatively affect a hearing ear dog's ability to work? Would it be bad for the dog to be ar ound other "regular" dogs like at a park, etc?

Illegal breeders who want a fighting dog will always breed an aggressive dog. Why can't a honest, decent breeder start to breed a pit bull that is tamer. It happened with Dobermans and Akita's. What do you think about this?

Two nights ago I was cleaning out the guess room. My six month old lab came in the room jumped on the bed and started to pee on the bed. I chased her out of the guest room and riped off the sheets. I looked and right in the middle of the bed was a hugh pee stain. My questions is how to make her stop doing that. I need to find away so I will not kill her...It was a five hundred dollar mattress. Help help me........

Hi Guys, well lately my cocker spaniel has been bitting her side for a few days now and the skin is totally exposed and the hair has been bitten off in one section. Now today I discovered upon petting her that her ear has a giant lump in it, and I'm not talking about the ear canal I'm talking about the part of the ear that hangs down with the fur on it. She shakes her head when I touch it and it feels like a large tumor. Please tell me whats wrong and how I can treat it. Those with past experiences with this please post, Thank you guys :(

I have recently fallen in love with this breed and would love to see any pictures or websites that you might have about Patterdales. Also do you hunt them? Any cute stories as well. Thanks!

My Siberian Husky is a very hyper dog especially when he gets to run around outside in the yard; however, he jumps up on people and has been known to knock some over. What are some good ways to teach your dog to stop jumping up on people?

I know somone who has a Pitbull, an American Pitbull crossed with a British one. The dog is soppy as hell, i've never even heard him bark, he's seriously the quietist dog i know. But he has attacked other dogs before, and there are a lot of kids around this dog on a daily basis...i just wondered if he, as a cross, is classed as illegal? after all the dog attacks lately it's got me wondering and i'm a little worried for those kids.

they got weird when i came home from the hospital, and it continued till they fought . violently. i lost part of my thumb in the process, at 1 a.m. they were fighting to the death. we now have to keep them seperated, the beagle continues to growl at the golden even though the golden is submissive-always. how in the world do we ever get them to be able to even pass in the hall or the yard without the beagle going off? he is the aggresser and initiates everything. the beagle is 10 yrs. old and the golden is 1 yr. old. both fixed.

If so, the parents are responsible for NOT watching their toddler and allowing her to cross the street in the first place.

And the owner is responsible for NOT having his dog properly sercured and supervised.

What do you all think?

My cousin is looking to buy a puppy and she wants to go to Pauley's Pups in Ashland, Virginia to make her purchase. She has researched and found that the owner only buys dogs from breeders that he personally meets and inspects (all in Virginia), but still doesn't know if this place is to be trusted.

She doesn't want to buy from a store and wind up financing a puppy mill. I have told her that I know Petland is a puppy mill supporter, but we can't find any concrete info on Pauley's Pups.

Please, if you have dealt with this store, or know someone who has, tell me the story so I can help her make an educated decision.

She is not planning on making a rash decision, and is looking at shelters too, but any info would be appreciated.
