Dogs - January 2007

My leash is quite short. But i use it because she continually barks at other dogs and i can pull her to me quickly to distract her. She is fine off the leash and comes to the whistle but on the leash she is hard work. She is 5 months old

I am in the market for a Welsh Corgi and put a deposit on one with a breeder. After talking to her more and meeting her dogs I found out that the puppy I put a deposit on is the only one that lived out of 6 dogs. I'm not sure if I should go through with the purchase or find another puppy?

He always use the restroom in my house when I take outside 3 times a day. I feed him twice a day 7:00 am and 8:30 pm at night. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I would like a old english sheep dog .My hubby wants a german shepered.I think getting 2 puppies to grow up together would be hard at first but rewarding.My hubby says getting one puppy first then after a few months get another so the majority of votes wins.Thanks

My dog has had ear problems in the past and we have taken her to the vets when she has scratched it and made it bleed. The vets said that it wasnt ear mite and that if i was my other dog would have it too.

My other dog hasnt got anything wrong with his ears but now she has scratched her ear so much it is really red and bleeding in parts. Little bumps have come up round the ear and she is walking lob-sided because her balance is being affected.

What do you think it is and is there anything we can do to help it until we can get to the vets tomorrow or at least book an appointment tomorrow?
