If feeding a good quality food you shouldn't have to add extra fiber unless your dog has an underlying medical problem.
To answer your question green beans and canned pumpkin (no spices) work well.

My Great Dane was having issues and our veterinarian told us to feed him 1-2 Tablespoons of canned pumpkin per day. It probably would be less if you have a smaller dog. I'm not sure how much it is helping so far, but he hasn't had the same health problem again, so maybe. At least it's fairly cheap and easy to store.

Most dogs love a carrot. It's as good as a treat. Give just one per day, depending upon the size of your dog.
But give it outside, because some dogs will make a mess chomping it to little sticky bits all over the place.
Have fun! My dogs love carrots, they are cheap and sometimes I have one with them. So we all win.
Happy New Year.

I have my dog on a home made diet as I don't care to feed him food that has been processed to death, no nutrients left in it. And so much stuff is added that will not pass the FDA for our consumption, that should tell every pet lover something. I add a little brown rice to his diet, I also have barley to add once in a while. He loves fresh veggies and fruits, apples, bananas, and any salad I make and baby carrots. These all add fiber, but don;t over do it. Anytime you add a new food to your pets diet do so gradually so as to not upset his/her stomach. Have fun and make treats out of (just a few) raisins or other dried fruits. Better to dry them yourself if you can. And rice will put weight on him fast so take care when feeding it.

Beet pulp.
It can be purchased from any place that sells horse feed.
You can soak it in water and let it puff up and feed it moist like that or if you can get the ground up stuff just sprinkle it on top of the food and let the dog it it dry. It will not hurt the dog in any way to eat it dry. It will not swell up in their stomach and make their stomach explode. That is an urban myth.
My dogs love the stuff and will steal it from our horses every chance they get. It is even used in some dog foods as fiber.

I sometimes as a treat add some boiled veg to their food, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower.peas, cabbage etc they love this. When I give them this treat I usually give them less food as the veg makes them full and they think they've had heaps to eat, also no fat in veg so better for them in long run. Also apples and carrots make good titbits.

All dry dog foods contain some form of carbohydrate (grain and/or potato). This is what holds the kibble together. There could not be dry food without carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are less expensive and more readily available as an energy source than proteins. Carbohydrates also provide fiber to the dog's diet. Ash is not a filler. Ash is just another term for minerals. If you were to burn a can of dog food, all three major nutrients, protein, fat and carbohydrates would burn, leaving the minerals. These minerals, calcium, phosphorous, zinc, iron, etc. make up the residue of food combustion - ash.

HI
I go to the feed store and buy tracker. It is a fiber sprinkle that contains yeast that helps with not getting fleas. Many feed stores or tractor supplies carry it but it is called different things, just ask for something to sprinkle on your dogs food with fiber and yeast. This also helps a finiky dog to eat they love it.

Rice is the perfect bulk'er up'er for the dog. It's really good for them and keeps 'em clean on the inside!
